“Lots of my friends have babies. I don’t have any babies, but I have lots of friends. Babies don’t have any friends.”
“Lots of my friends have babies. I don’t have any babies, but I have lots of friends. Babies don’t have any friends.”
That skit is definitely one of his best. My favorite line is when he references them welcoming you to the airport after you land... “How can someone just arriving themselves possibly welcome me to a place they’re not even at yet?!”
When I was a kid, this big girl bullied me nearly daily. It could’ve been the whole “they pick on you because they like you” thing but I didn’t care because either way the outcome was the same. Eventually, my mom got tired of telling me so frequently to just ignore the girl that she finally said “just sock her back.”…
This article is straight up uninformed. On many lines you in fact CAN bring on your own alcohol (in the form of 2 bottles of wine per stateroom, for instance) and I’ve yet to see one charge for rock climbing. The overall point stands that they charge for quite a bit on board but very poor examples were used.
I had to stop taking it due to nausea unfortunately. I’m a mid-30s non-high-risk (outside of a bit higher BMI than I should have, which I guess is what made me qualified) male that just had Covid. Doctor got me on Paxlovid within 2 days of my positive test which was taken the first day of symptoms. The stomach aches…
I’d say look for a discounted older model. For example, I’m still on my Gear S3 Frontier that initially launched in 2016 (got mine in 2017, but still.) It’s still going strong. I get better battery life (~2.5 days, more on airplane mode) than their new Wear OS models, plus it still has MST which they’ve since dropped.…
This is what has me skeptical about Shredder’s Revenge releasing on time. The fact we’re as close as we are to their announced release window and they still refuse to commit to a date leads me to believe something’s going on that could cause them to push it out. If it’s already in the bag, it seems crazy to not yet…
They’ll be used to sell vending machines. RIP Mitch Hedberg.
Was amused and somewhat intrigued until I saw the Gameloft logo. Their name screams to me “you’ll be incredibly frustrated about this game’s monetization and/or unnecessary online requirements.”
“Satan is a metaphor or a line in the sand, a way of saying “well we don’t believe in Christianity.” This is fine, but they why would you call yourself a Satanist instead of an atheist?”
My trick is to only go when it’s a work outing where they rent out the club and provide food & drink or the rare occasion I can use the company seats and my guests bring the tailgating food as a thank you for bringing them.
On desktop you can either make the browser narrow to force it into the mobile device layout or install a userscript extension such as Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey along with the userscript called Kinja Unslideshow.
That’s why I think pizza is an inappropriate option unless it’s for a very small (easier to cater to the tastes) or much larger group (to order a big variety.)
While I see your point, a manager of a team, of say 30, should know what type of people are on it. They may not know every tiny taste/allergy/etc. and there may be some new people but in the instances I’m referring to, they knew full well who was going to be attending and what their dietary requirements were but chose…
Definitely consider the presence of vegetarians. I’ve seen even otherwise very progressive companies not offer even a basic vegetarian option (despite the organizers knowing they existed on the team) and when brought up, the response was to pick the meat off the meat options. Picking meat off of a dish with it, ie.…
I’m referring to in the sense of prioritizing their own interests over improving the end-user experience. An example of this is making Edge such a pain to switch from having to been bullied into making it more streamlined and even then inside an optional update. They utilize updates to reinstall apps the user…
Coming from an all-around Windows fan, it’s unfortunate that the ability of third party applications to implement obvious fixes/changes to Windows 11 to align it with people’s expectations is making Microsoft look ever worse in how little they care about tuning Windows for the end user. Windows has become an obvious…
Same for my wife. We got a ‘premier memory foam’ mattress specifically because it marketed a feature of it’s ability to help keep you cool. My wife says she’s had worse night sweats with it than before we got it. It seems the stronger they market temperature regulation, the worse it is at it (for some people).
Gameplay preference. I’m not saying for me personally it would make or break a deal of wanting to play a game, but I personally much prefer third person over first. I just have more fun with it and am more comfortable with that viewpoint. I don’t see it out of the realm of possibility of someone wanting, or not…
It’s Rule 34 at play.
