So does the whole “it’s just language evolution” rule apply when it’s terms & phrases that may offend people? Plenty of people seem okay chucking the rule book out the window when shown they’re actually saying the exact opposite of what they intend. I wonder if they’re still okay chucking it here.

I can see that, but the alternative is to bow to their desires and be stuck with (often) subpar functionality due to my choosing not to be in their exclusive garden. At least my way results in equal functionality for all regardless of platform choice.
I hope the latter never happens. I think having the separate series helps cover a much broader audience. Sim-fans can go Motorsport, arcade fans can go Horizon. I don’t think I’d pick up a Horizon game again if it became more sim.
