There’s no actual increase in real world range. These new range numbers apply only to the EU model on the WLTP urban cycle. The US spec Wrangler is rated at 23 miles on the city cycle so that is the number that should compared here which is only a 30% difference to the 30 miles on WLTP. All WLTP numbers are about

My wife and I are both in unions that help and protect their workers and provide middle class pay and benefits and much better working conditions than the non union identical jobs in the same city. If workers do not like how your union operates the workers have the dues paying power to improve the union.

Strange how nobody ever questions strongly anti-union politicians but any pro-union politicians are instantly vilified.

Tesla changes their MSRPs every few months. I guess raising the base price isn’t technically a “mark-up”, but the effect is the same; the car costs what the seller thinks the market value is. The only real difference is that Tesla gets to keep that increase for themselves, while Ford has to sit back and watch someone

Wait until 9200lb hummer EVs (land-missiles) are getting launched into all manner of things while bros demonstrate the 0-60 times.

There is zero chance a 200 hp car can accelerate to 116 mph in a residential neighborhood.

It's alot harder to hit 116 in a 30mph zone in a car with 200 hp

So much power and weight and the instant acceleration all just add up to stuff that seemed small is now exponentially worse.

I came to post the same thing. I expect it will take a 100+ MPH crash into a school bus before that becomes an honest conversation in any law house. It’s also wild that a (legally defined) child can legally operate a car that hits 60 MPH in under 3 seconds before they can smoke, vote, or drink.

I say this as someone who likes driving fast, who owns fast cars, and who is generally skeptical of adding more bureaucracy to our lives:

I don’t get all the ID.4 ho-hum reviews. I test drove one and really impressed at what you get for the money. Great features, everything felt well-made, and it was comfortable to drive. It has a tremendously comfortable rear seat for a 6'1" adult (I could easily sit behind myself with at least 4" of knee room).

All of this question of weight and consumption brings up the generally larger question of how environmentally friendly electric cars are as a concept.

A 9,000 pound truck with a 3-second 0-60? What could go wrong?

Great! Can’t wait for people to start racing these things down crowded streets before striking a bunch of cars and people and all 9,000 pounds of mass causes unimaginable destruction and death!

Don’t know about the rest of the country, but in the Midwest, it’s definitely Michigan, and just about everyone here knows it too.

It’s common on campuses with limited parking, yes.

Gas taxes should be higher. Like, much higher.

I’m just curious. Why is observing that the law is not evenly applied to different ethnic groups, “bigoted?” Granted, this may not be a white woman in the car, but that does not make the broader point incorrect.
