His voice was fantastic. I sat through that awful Alice in Wonderland movie just for his voice. He really is missed.

There were MANY reasons I loathe that movie (and don’t get the appeal) but you’re correct in that Rickman and Thompson were gems. See also Robin Hood for movies he’s saved.
