I had the exact same perspective on alcohol growing up. But, when I started realize that everyone else's parents didn't drink every night, I became much more self conscious about my fam.

I have a ridiculously petty reason for disliking Modern Family. USA put that show in the evening timeslot in which SVU reruns usually air. Three hours of Modern Family multiple times a week instead of Detective Stabler and Benson. >:(

Am I the only person who is slightly disturbed that the child possibly knew how to handle the gun? It's not all together shocking that an indigent family would carry a firearm, I'm sure they had it for protection, but a three year old knowing how to pull a trigger? Do kids really learn about guns that fast?

This has happened in a lot of my relationships. I agree with the responses so far, that it comes from processing emotions/weird behavior or built up tension. In my experience, communication is usually part of it too. If my partner is not listening to me or talking to me much, my body just turns off. It sucks, because…
