Whoa. That is MESSED UP.
Whoa. That is MESSED UP.
When I was young, I mean like, 10 or 11, one of my (creepy) relatives thought it would be hilarious to give me silky underwear for Christmas and video tape my reaction. I was so mortified. Worst gift/experience ever.
Two thousand thumbs up, in addition to all of the puppy thumbs and baby goat thumbs.
My pick:
I have wanted the MJ prayer candle since last xmas. Thank you for reminding me!
Right, because men are clueless about women just in the workplace. lolz
The person: a guy I shared mutual friends with, but had only really talked to on AIM for about 2 years. Really into EDM and coding. We had started hanging out in person and we were hitting it off.
I meant that it was ironic, culturally. Like so many other comments have suggested, there is a lot of panic, especially in southern states (though they are not the only ones, to be sure), that gay blood will turn you gay. This is the priority, rather than actual scientific knowledge of how HIV is transmitted. This…
HIV is still so misunderstood. It really shocks me (or maybe it doesn't?) that the FDA, out of all organizations, can be so ignorant.
I love interdimensional foyer. It reminds me of House of Leaves.
For some reason, calling it she/her works for me. I think it's sexy, but it's probably not for everyone.
Tits and Gore are the illegitimate children of the Abominable Snowman. Sheesh PTC, read the fan fiction!
Elephants put humans to shame. They are my favorite everything.
They really should. I mean, being on the cover of a national magazine is sort of a commendation, isn't it? The whole "any press is good press" thing.
Roger Goodell, for his excellent handling of domestic violence? For punishing players who smoke weed with ridiculously long sentences? For having absolutely no fucking clue how to handle PR? Yeah, what a person!
My week consisted of medication side effects, food poisoning, not being able to take time off of work, and coworker snakery. I'm sorry that your week sucked too.
Word. The first time I got a UTI, I thought I had an STD. The woman at my dr's office who scheduled my appointment was an angel, told me it sounded like symptoms of a UTI and what I could do to ease discomfort in the meantime. I don't know if she was supposed to do that, but dang was I grateful.
Your thread just made my day in a really weird way. I have had a couple of these, usually at inopportune times when I couldn't go to the doctor (lack of insurance, traveling). Instead I would just get tested at PP and nothing. Now I know what that discomfort and swelling was. And how to deal with them. THANK YOU.
Protection orders up the legal stakes. DV charges usually plea down to misdemeanors and the abusers get probation/classes/etc. Violating a protection order is a third degree felony in most states, which has mandatory jail time. I think it's 3-6 months in my state.
It is so fucking infuriating that there is more attention on the societal problem of domestic violence and so little attention on the justice system that continues to ignore abusive behavior. I saw a commercial by the NFL last night on domestic violence, the gist was "it's hard to talk about, but we need to talk about…
