It goes way deeper than religion. This is more or less them laying the foundation for something they want to use to identify undesirables.. Today it’s porn, tomorrow it could be because you shopped at the wrong place, or liked the wrong thing on Facebook.

He’s certainly slipped a bit, but Maher remains just about the only host on TV that has actual conversations with people from multiple points of view, and who will call bullshit on his own group if he thinks it needs to be done. For that alone, he’s worth having on the air.

This makes me sad. My sister was diagnosed with MS 15 years ago, and my wife was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago. We’re all currently in our mid to late 40s. My dad was diagnosed with it in 1984, and always hoped for a miracle cure that never came. He ended up having his hands and feet amputated due to gangrene from it and never walked again. I keep up on treatments because of it and it looks like the miracle cure is really not that far off, sadly it’s 25 years too late..
