Good for him. If Apple (or whomever) wanted the speech edited, it’s their show. However, you discuss it with DeNiro ahead of time, reach an agreement, or find another speaker. Trying to be sneaky and just cutting it from the teleprompter is a bad look, and horrible lapse in judgement, as DeNiro calling them out on it…

I admire him for trying to host that week recently when he had covid, but it was for the best that he bowed out after one episode. He was clearly very ill when he recorded that one episode. You could just see that he was dragging.
