The staff at mental hospitals do it all the damn time. Moreover, if this is the likely outcome the best answer is to leave the person alone to begin with.
If you’re such a coward as to be afraid to confront someone without a gun don’t be a cop. If you can’t deescalate a situation without shooting someone don’t be a cop. If you fear for your life with multiple other officers backing you up against one guy with a knife, don’t be a cop.
If you’re serving a mental health check armed with guns, and you end up shooting the person you’re checking on, killing them is* a feature and not a bug.
She did:
I felt like I was in that Buñuel movie where everyone’s trapped in a dinner party and we were never going to get out of that awful, fluorescent-lit back room, ever.
Was it a bullshit experience? Yup. Would I have screamed bloody murder if they’d handed me the bill for the whole thing? Hell yup. Would I chalk it up to circumstances that I can’t control and give them another shot (without the large group)? Yup.
What purpose is served by not naming this restaurant?
Literally my first reaction was, “They let her adopt SEVEN children by herself, yet some gay couples have to go through so much just to bring one child into a loving home.” Unreal.
they need to make child labour laws extend to youtube. there are a lot of very little kids on there making big bucks for their parents. i bet it will be all gone when they grow up. not to mention, it is child abuse. let the kids have a childhood.
Thank you! This is what I was trying to say!
Ah, I somehow missed that you were anti-Youtube by the end of that comment. You’re right, we agree.
I don’t think YouTube is responsible for the abuse; if it wasn’t for the channel, this lady would probably have been beating her children for not making their beds or spilling juice or whatever. But the site gave her a way to make money by putting her kids to work with absolutely no oversight, and it does need to…
I was thinking the same thing. Basically kids on monetized YouTube channels are child actors — they should get the same protections as any other child performer. We can’t stop people from abusing their kids, but we can at least make it harder for them to make money off of it.
When she was on the radio in her early days she would religiously do her best to find or imply dirt on everybody. It was kinda disgusting at times and definitely tiresome. Her show now, although edited for tv, is not much better. Some of the worst in syndicated junk food. I dont by this sloppy sobby struggle talk. I…
I personally find it hard to have sympathy for her because if this had happened to some other celebrity then she would be talking about it on her show. She would be laughing and mocking how the celebrity’s fake excuses never sounded real. It’s hard to ‘Be Best’ with some people.
There was a Celebrity Rehab on VH1 or MTV several years ago. They cancelled it after (I thnk) the 5th celeb died under Dr Drew’s care.
She’s still a horrible person who drags people through the muck day in and day out on her shows.
