I’ve been mostly playing Final Fantasy XIV yet again this week. I think I’m getting closer to the end of the base game A Realm Reborn storyline, though I understand there’s a bunch more content in the free trial that I’m still working my way through.

This weekend is for more Demon’s Souls! Which plays pretty nicely with a PS2 controller, as it turns out. I’m at the stage where I’ve done all the easy levels, farmed a bunch and powered up, so I’ve got the tougher middle areas to choose between and no recourse if stuck but to get good enough.

It’s because Hitman 2016 was a commercial disappointment to Square Enix so they pulled their funding and tried to sell the studio. IO’s management bought them out but basically had to cut the studio to the bone in the process and a cinematic team isn’t really a vital requirement for the sort of game Hitman is.

I really hope you will enjoy disco elysium. Probably on my top 3. Think is a excellent game 

I’m jealous of Disco Elysium players. I like the way it looks. And I like everything I’ve read about in theory. But I’m five years old and a game without combat is just like... I dunno if I can do it. Even a lot of dialog heavy RPGs with combat make me antsy.

I rolled credits on Persona 5 Strikers earlier this week, then cleaned up the post-game requests and smashed The Reaper shortly after, and launched a NG+ Merciless game yesterday to wrap up some trophies. I’ll probably keep speeding through that this weekend, and eventually gauge my interest in grinding for loot drops…

Still plugging away at the Outriders campaign. I think I’m almost done based on how the map is filled out and the fact that I’m level 23 or 24. It’s been cool and I look forward to doing some endgame grinding. Hopefully that hits this weekend.

Unfortunately, the time for games will be next to nothing this weekend. I found out my test voucher run out at the end of the month instead of June like I thought. So this week and next have been full of cramming to try and pass.

Especially one that is from the future.

Such a sad day, seeing 5 different copies of Madden leave the service.
