It’s been a while since I’ve said this, but: put it on Switch!

Sony patched VRR support onto their most recent line of HDMI 2.1 compatible TVs a few months ago, so theoretically I should be good to go.
I mostly agree with that, but I think you see a lot of media doing it in the name of “balanced reporting” too. It’s not as intentional, though still has the same effect, which is amplifying disinformation/harmful views/stupid opinions (such as “the earth is flat”).
I’m sorry, I believe in tolerance and all that, but you do not have to respect the beliefs of flat-earthers. We don’t have to “both sides” everything.
There were even some available in Canada from Amazon yesterday (not anymore). I got lucky and pre-ordered a PS5, so I don’t need an XBox until the next Elder Scrolls game comes out...
Hmmm... Interesting. That is not surprising, I guess. I’m in Canada, so the system might not be identical, but IP law is one thing that is relatively uniform in most western nations, so I expect it’s pretty similar. My understanding is that here you have to provide some evidence of originality. I don’t think they do…
Presumably, in addition to demonstrating some baseline level of complexity (i.e. choreography vs. a simple dance move), you would have to show that something is sufficiently original in order to copyright it, so there is a check there. Though how rigorously anyone looks at something like that is an open question. As a…
That’ll teach those Russians!!
Yeah, I feel like two in a fireteam is the sweet spot for the legendary campaign. You each get one revive, so there is a bit of forgiveness if you mess up and die, unlike when you play solo, but the enemies are noticeably less deadly and spongy (is that a word?). Most of it is fine solo except for a few missions, as…
Agreed. But also wanted to mention: the music is incredibly good too. It really strikes the right chord (bad pun intended) throughout the campaign.
I did the mission via remote play, though I don’t think I was very much help to my group. Tried to mess around with Stadia, but the internet here isn’t quite good enough. At least I got the mission done.
As a lawyer, that is probably the nicest, most pleasant cease & desist letter I’ve ever seen. Certainly nicer than any I’ve ever written.
Yeah, I was thinking of trying that, but wasn’t sure if the current season would be free on Stadia or if I’d have to pay extra for it.
I’m so pissed they waited until the last week for this. I’m away and almost definitely won’t get a chance to play it at all, since I assume it will be gone once Witch Queen launches. What a bummer after this long season...
Fine? I don’t think anyone’s eating the worms.
Wow, that is monumentally shitty. I’m angry just reading that...
“In a direct relationship model... the company can swiftly make changes.”
Good!! This expectation from gamers just seems insane to me. I’m a lawyer, so this would be equivalent to me drafting every single contract, document, etc. from scratch each time without ever re-using clauses or language from prior work. It is stupid and not time/cost effective.
Damn, I guess I shoulda bought a Series X instead of a PS5, huh?
This kind of reasonable response doesn’t belong in the Destiny community! But yeah, that’s my take too. The change isn’t great on its face, but they’ve pretty clearly indicated there is more info to be shared, so I don’t understand why everyone is freaking out so much.
