also the stomachs, because that legit made me queasy...

LOOOOOOOL

Lol. I am obviously not going to bother, but thank you for the helpful advice. Not to pick on you, but the number of people who think it’s necessary to say this is astonishing...

I also like the bigger/better screen for when I do play handheld (usually on vacation). I just feel like, if you’re gonna do an upgrade, do a real upgrade and not just a new kickstand and a couple other things? I don’t mean to shit on it, because the new screen is nice! I think I’m just underwhelmed after the reports.

That’s fair. I think it is just the fact that all the reporting indicated something with a bit more power, which would’ve (arguably) been a worthwhile upgrade for current owners.

This is crazy to me. Why even bother? I almost exclusively use my Switch docked, so I’d be getting... an ethernet cable and not much else. Maybe with the bigger screen I’d be more inclined to play handheld? Text size on the current version is a major issue (I’m getting old & am probably already overdue for reading

Ditto about Control: I tried out the ray tracing for a bit and it looked incredible, but I had already been playing at 60fps and I just couldn’t go back to 30.

What the hell did I just watch?

If nothing else, I am glad this article gave me an excuse to revisit that “you cheated yourself” tweet and laugh about it again.

Okay, sure. And so far that “case by case basis” has been evaluated 100% in favor of exclusivity where there wasn’t a prior agreement in place, as far as I can tell. Granted, it’s n=1, so maybe it means nothing! I’m just saying, there is no indication whatsoever that they intend to go either way with future ES or FO

Your point about Insomniac stands, but Spider-Man is a bad example. Sony has had rights to Spider-Man in general for a long time. It’s why he’s not really part of the MCU. Nobody other than a Sony studio can make a Spider-Man game.

Fantastic mash-up. I’m just imagining little kids tuning in to Sesame Street and getting these guys (and a lifetime of therapy) instead. I love it.

Oh man, I wish. Unfortunately, there is no way TES6 is coming out that soon, based on the way Bethesda has done things up until now. I wish I could believe it was possible, but they probably won’t even fully start production until after Starfield (and possibly any DLC) is released and these games are just too big &

I really don’t know if I’m interested in Starfield at this point (there’s just not enough info about what it actually is and it would have to be pretty cool for me to buy an XBox or build a PC for it), but if it doesn’t come out until late 2022, then what are we looking at for Elder Scrolls 6? 2025? At the earliest?

Admittedly, Sekiro is the only one I haven’t played (yet I finally just bought it a few days ago), so I don’t know how much of a departure it really is. But in any event, my comment was more on the story/tone than gameplay, which I expanded on in another response here somewhere...

I probably didn’t explain myself well, but I meant I was looking for more of a departure in tone and/or story. I fully expected similar gameplay and it looks like they’re adding all kinds of new stuff in that regard, which is great and will be interesting to see how it all works together.

Could be horse armor. Everyone loves horse armor, right?

I finally just bought Sekiro on sale, but the stealth is a good point. Much like how Bloodborne influenced DS3, I bet you’re right and we see quite a bit of Sekiro’s influence on this game.

It remains to be seen what they do with the open world-ness of it. I’m definitely curious.

Not that there’s any problem with being excited about another Souls game, but this is totally just another Souls game, right? Even the language in the trailer is similar or parallels stuff from prior games (lighting/extinguishing flames, tarnished = hollow?, etc.). I guess there’s a horse, which is cool! Look at it
