Yes! I remember those “coast is clear” comments being a godsend in the first one too...

It wasn’t that long ago that I was single in my 30s (well, the 30s was a few years ago, but I’ve only lived with my GF for like 6 months) so I remember it well. I’m also pretty selfish with my time and am lucky to have found someone who can handle that. She knows I need that time. But it definitely still comes with

Life feels pretty normal around here for the most part. There are still lots of precautions in grocery stores, restaurants, etc., but a lot of people have really let down their guard. I suspect that’ll be okay until the border opens or there starts to be more travel around the country, and then it’s going to become

Same. I never got past the tutorial area and I need to go back to that game...

I’m jealous that you’ve made it so far in TLOU2 already. I just finished the first area in Seattle last night and even getting that little bit of playtime took some negotiating with my GF (we really need to get a couch for our second bedroom so one of us can use the TV in there). This game is gonna take me forever. I

I am tempted to pick that Clubhouse Games thing up. It seems like a great deal and I’ve heard that the implementation of the games is very good for the most part. It’d be nice to have something me & my GF could play together and it seems like there would be plenty of options there.

Agreed. It was very satisfying to see him upset like that.

My goal for 2020 was to really work on my backlog, since there weren’t a ton of games I was overly excited about going into the year. I’ve made decent progress, but a lot of my backlog is RPGs that will be 50+ hours to finish, so it’s going to be slow going.

When you list it like that, it doesn’t look all that bad. Though I should say that I don’t really know how long most of those games are, other than Skyrim, which I’ve played for probably a couple thousand hours between PS3 and Skyrim SE.

Oh, that would be cool. The pawn system is okay, as it is, but I would probably prefer to be able to have more than one of my own to customize & give cool gear, etc.

Yeah, I much prefer to play games after they’ve been out for a while (see for instance, the fact that I’m currently playing Dragon’s Dogma) for those reasons. I also like knowing that there are guides, tips or build advice, etc. out there for if I get stuck or have trouble figuring out systems. All that stuff usually

Oh man, that sounds really annoying. I don’t have too many friends who play games (or at least don’t play many of the same games as me), and even if we do play the same thing, I’m usually the one who’s ahead. So mostly, this is a good reminder to me to not do that.

I have a very deep love for that game, but it can be pretty tough and you’re right, the stress of losing all your coins sucks. If it helps at all, I lost mine a few times when I had lots and it was never actually that bad. You get them back quicker than you think. The dread of losing them is worse than actually losing

I broke down and bought TLOU2 yesterday, though haven’t booted it up yet. I had planned on waiting, possibly for next-gen, but I realized that I don’t want to spend months avoiding spoilers. I tend to only play one game at a time and I just started Dragon’s Dogma, so my plan is to bend my rules and try to play a bit

I’m torn between wanting to know more first and not wanting to know too much. While I’m also not overly bothered by spoilers, I’d rather not know all the story beats going in, which is going to mean avoiding a lot of the discussion around this game. That won’t necessarily be easy, so part of me is just like “play it

I think I’ve finally got a decent handle on my workload right now, which is a huge relief. I had been feeling overwhelmed and behind, but unable/unmotivated to really put in the hours to catch up. It seems like I’ve turned the corner and had a few fairly productive days this week. Also delegating some stuff to my

Good to know that. I wasn’t sure, as the two are so frequently linked.

She doesn’t seem to snore or experience any sleep apnea issues (yet. I fully expect her to start snoring at some point). But I’ve heard from friends that have the cpap machine that it basically changed their lives. My mom needs one but she’s too stubborn to get it. Very frustrating.

My GF is like you. She is an absolute sleep machine and has to set like 5 or 6 different alarms to make sure she gets up (she doesn’t trust herself to hit snooze instead of just turning the alarm off). We are complete opposites in that way. She seems to need about 9 hours of sleep, I seem to function on about 6.5.

I need to go back to that game. I played the first few hours and really liked it, but I remember finishing the intro area and seeing how big the rest of the map was and just giving up. Might have been a timing thing -- sometimes you’re just not into the idea of a big game! -- but I regret not sticking with it.
