“I know people think I’ve had a nose job.”
“I know people think I’ve had a nose job.”
I watched the episode when it aired and one of the surgeons said to him (after listening to his whole story), “I think you just really wanted breast implants.” I'm inclined to agree.
If she’s so worried about protecting life, perhaps she should do something about people adversely affected by fracking and how her state is near the bottom in all health statistics.
One of my girlfriends was raised in the church and got into an abusive relationship in high school. She tried and failed several times to get out of the relationship and eventually worked up the courage to ask her parents for help. Upon learning she had had sex with her boyfriend - and knowing he was abusive - her…
Hell I’d say it’s been that way since the 80s and the rise of the Falwell and the Moral Majority. As soon as they realized that the suckers in the religious right were use to handing their money over to old white guys for the promise of heaven later, it was on.
Since the senate vote was 33-12 in favor, they should have the votes to overturn the veto. But in reality, their job was completed. They made it a campaign issue so they can continue to beat pro-choice candidates in the fall. Because remember, most of Oklahoma is deep red.
“Since I believe life begins at conception, it should be protected, and I believe it’s a core function of state government to defend that life from the beginning of conception.”
The point isn’t to succeed, it’s to fail and say “We tried to protect the children but the evil liberals are so determined to kill them all, oh if only we had more money and could keep being reelected.”
Never ceases to amuse/infuriate me that they carry the mantle of smaller government with less involvement, but still want the right to micromanage my uterus.
If life begins at conception, so should child support. Because anti-abortion laws are about protecting kids, right?
Fallin, an anti-abortion Republican, vetoed the bill today because she didn’t believe it could withstand an (inevitable) legal challenge,
You know what scares the shit out of me? That 33 GOP assholes thought their time was best served putting forth a bill that would never hold up.
Always nice to hear a senator state his choice to take away rights from his constituents.
This is the first thing I tell anyone who expresses doubts about a woman’s rape claim. Serial predators target the disenfranchised or the isolated. They seek out women who will have trouble being believed and some get sickeningly good at it. I think once people wrap their heads around this it becomes a lot easier to…
One day we are also going to have to have a discussion of class plays onto our bias as well.
Nothing jolts you away in the morning like a glaring shot of Chris Christie’s moose knuckle.
Pasty, flabby and riddled with phlebitis. A good, republican body. (Borrowed heavily from Richard Nixon’s head, lamenting the loss of his body on Futurama)
He’s just joining a long-standing tradition of candidates being assholes to their partners - like when John McCain called his wife a trollop. Just all in good alpha male not-at-all creepy fun!
What the fuck did we ever do to you??
