There's another constant missing in the equation: k for kids. Where k=infinity because they demand your constant attention. When k is considered the equation becomes exponentially difficult to balance. I think this man explains the k factor best:

My dog runs laps around my yard at top speed quite often. She also gets walks though. Not condoning lazy dog owners. They are happiest when they get plenty of exercise. She just doesn't get to run full speed on a walk, unless we are off leash in the forest, which is her favorite place to be :)
Another method that wasn't mentioned is to use the 'programmable' locks. It's a lock (pretty standard now at most hardware chains) that comes with a little pin that you insert to teach it your key. This allowed me to change all the locks on my house, including my shed, to the same key. Very useful in reducing the…
Is there anything like this for Android? My phone is the thing I stare at right before bed, it would be ideal.
Small note about Google docs forms: they can only be public. Never private. So if you want to get information from a small group of individuals, (in other words ask them to fill a form you create) that information is always publicly available to anyone. Seems the functionality has not been built in yet to limit access…
Similar to the best way to get tiny shards of broken glass out of your hand or foot when you missed them during the cleanup: use a piece of tape. Wide clear packing tape works very well. Put it where you feel the stabbing pain and remove in a swift motion.
I add honey and lemon juice to get a nice sweet tart thing going on. It ends up kind of tasting like hot flat homemade ginger ale and does wonders for a sore throat!
I bought some plastic bins and put Velcro tape on the bottom 4 corners. The hook side of the Velcro sticks well on most car trunk rug interiors. The bins stay put but can be moved around as needed.
I think one of the advantages of the open concept office that often gets casually omitted is the fact that cubicle walls cost less to build than real walls. This factor goes straight to the bottom line of the company, and we all know that matters most. So many companies rely on these various defenses about improved…
I won't pick a solid winner out of the 2, but I would like to dispel the myth that iOS gadgets never fail in any way. I feel like if I ever make a complaint about something going wrong with my android phone/tablet, and have the misfortune of being within earshot of an iOS devotee, well I am in for the standard…
It's basically a form of usury, which for centuries, in many cultures throughout the world was considered immoral. I believe this is why people get a feeling that this is somehow immoral, because it is built into our historical belief systems on morality. But, you could go even further to say that people came up with…
OK I have a special request for cable companies: Make my cable box take voice commands like this already! Or at least allow the use of a keyboard or phone app to type in ESPN, instead of trying to remember which one of the 600+ channels corresponds to which station. If individuals with minimal resources (enough…
The same thing came to mind for me. I'm going to give that a try tomorrow and see how well it works
I personally find the 2nd one a little bit of an insensitive choice considering the recent news headlines. There were so many nice ones to choose from...
I find it's the cheapest way to give someone files. If they are over for dinner for example and they want to take it with them. Burn it to a disc and they walk away with it in their hand. (as long as you are not giving them 20GB of files of course...)

Not sure that pictures of food are the best way to stimulate a response. I would think that smelling food would be much more effective.
Interesting to see how age loses its effect on how old you look after about 25. I would guess it has a lot more to do with your lifestyle and attitude. The scary thing was things drastically change after 50 from what I saw, but a lot of the older people were quite jolly looking, and it helped them look a lot younger…
This is a terrible idea: Fruits will stop going bad, which in turn will reduce the amount of people returning to the stores to buy more, replacement, fruit, and the fruit stores will see a drastic reduction in profits, meaning their shares will go down, and a previously very fruitfull business will be another victim…
