Suge Knight’s attorney is named Thaddeus Culpepper. That’s amazing.

I was a teenager in the ‘70's, as were my two sisters. All three of us knew students — juniors or seniors in high school — who were having affairs with teachers. And that’s the way we thought of them, as affairs. The girls themselves seemed to view it as something they wanted; two of them (my sisters’ friends) said

Note that this graph is for the Academy Awards from 2000-2016 only. Over the course of its history, the Acting awards have had (by my very cursory math, with two of the acting awards starting in 1928 and the other two in 1936), over 1300 total nominations.

4 miles is a normal day’s walk in NYC. I have many friends in their 70s and 80s who walk that much each day. New Yorkers walk. It's our main form of exercise.

I worked at Sassy from 1989-2001. True story. Of course, I was on the very uncool marketing and advertising team. You may be unsurprised to hear that the editorial staff were total mean girls to us...they thought of us as a necessary evil (exactly what we were!).

I’ve been exactly where you are - sick as a dog for many weeks up to Christmas. I hated not being able to really shop for the perfect gift. My solution was to get them each something small, but with a note just filled with the specific joy I get out of each of them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The most disturbing part of this (other than Sheen’s potential transmission of the infection to others) is the way it’s being reported. It will be 6 months next week that my Mom died.

I once peed in a 20-ounce souvenir cup [from a family cruise] because I couldn’t manage walking downstairs to the bathroom. Best use that cup ever had.

I just moved back to NYC after many years in rural upstate NY.

So. How about some sweet family negging? My mother passed away 2 months ago after a short and difficult illness. She was beloved by all, and I consider her one of the great loves of my life.

Bwahahahaha! I love this:

Clearly, the correct answer is the brotherhood of Sirs Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. Stories for days, quick wits, and getting drunk enough to MAKE IT SO and YOU SHALL NOT PASS all over the bar.

I'm 51. I've been a feminist since I was about 7, my political leanings haven't veered from the far left, and I have women friends of all ages - from teens to their 80's. The idea that age alone makes us irrelevant to each other is a disservice to us all. I learn so much from friends older and younger than me.

Netflix. Now and forever.

Spoiler: the dog's been dead for 20 years.

You guys, the Senior Musical this year is REALLY GOOD.

I hope one of those mermaids is Bette Midler...
