Except that all of those women built areas of expertise so that they would be qualified to speak about the issues they cared about. Hillary spent the majority of her career working on issues unrelated to "women's topics," and so she is not limited to speaking about them.

That is the opposite of what she's saying. She's saying that Cameron didn't say or do enough.

No, I'm not sure if she's doing something.

I got there too. I'm anticipating diagrams on the house floor explaining good breast visibility and bad breast visibility.

If stupid lawmaking and widespread prejudice were reasons not to live in a place, I'd be down to very limited options for housing.

This is a great suggestion. Will do.

C'mon. That's not what I'm saying. I think that the prevalent view of "more money = better movie" is bullshit, but I think that the counter-view of "less money = higher quality filmmaking" is also ridiculous. Indie foreign films aren't always better-acted and more thought-provoking.

... That's what every school I've taught at is like. Things like that are usually district suggestions that get interpreted as administrative demands. One year I had to have a daily objective calendar in August for the entire year, and was told I was required to stick with it. One year I had to have every standard I

Administrators will not be your support network, with very few exceptions. The job of the principal and vice principal encompass so many different responsibilities, from discipline to operations to public relations, that they typically can't have more than a cursory role in guiding teachers' work in the classroom.

Exactly what I was going to say. I'd add that because teachers can alternate among the roles of counselor/nurse/mother/guard, in addition to the work of teaching, there are the additional burdens of those professions.

I want to scream every time someone says the Swedish ones are so much better. Older and more low budget doesn't automatically indicate higher quality.

The Crest Whitening Strips are amazing! Seriously, use them twice on one day for 20 minutes and there's an incredibly visible difference. Use them 1-2 times a day for three days and you've got the best smile ever. Writing this is reminding me that I want to pick them up. If only the price tag weren't steep!

You obviously know far more than I do, but I'd caution not breaking up over that. Maybe he watches it because it feels more spontaneous and real; maybe he hates fake boobs; maybe he's attracted to you in equal measure to other random fantasies; maybe he's an addict who needs counseling, not rejection. If there are

I didn't have sex with my high school boyfriend or the guys I dated casually in college because I had preconceptions about what was the "right way" to lose your virginity—and in retrospect, I feel like I missed out on a lot, in terms of expanding those relationships and enjoying my sexual identity in my college years.

I think active friend-shaming isn't necessary to feel pathetic or strange for not having lost your virginity by your 20s. Even if your friends just like to share that part of their lives through stories or shared questions—something that's, you know, not unreasonable—you can end up feeling left out.

Do it! This is purely me, but I found myself able to engage much more honestly in relationships once I felt like I didn't have this one thing (anxiety/uncertainty/self-conscious oddity) holding me back.

The heights that Mindy has climbed to—that's groundbreaking. A WoC showrunner is definitely remarkable. But the content she produces is far more conventional and less risky than Lena's.

I think she's saying she doesn't like younger kids; fostering a teen is different. (And challenging in so many different ways!)

I mean, the show's peak is 800,000 viewers. Even by HBO standards, that's ridiculously low.

This is a great point to make.
