Suggesting a $25k Beemer or Audi is bad advice. Service and Maintenance will leave her disappointed.  German cars are a money pit.  I sell cars, every time I take in a BMW, VW, Audi, or Mercedes it’s because the owner got tired of dropping an extra grand or two when they go in for an oil change.  Those cars are fun

Zippy + Doesn’t drive much = Perfect for an EV. For a car the size of the Audi A3, it leaves the Tesla Model 3 or Polestar. From those two I would really lean a Model 3 Performance, especially a 2021+ with the heat pump. Find one under $25k and you might still qualify for the $4k used IRA credit before that is cut

Yes, we would absolutely bitch about it! That’s fucking stupid!

I’m surprised how bumpy the ride was.

But a proper light rail (like Vegas already has covering some places) would be even faster and carry more people at a time.

The purpose of this is the same as Musk admittedly gaslighting the entire state of California about the hyperloop... Musk hates public transportation and does everything he can to stop it from happening.

This whole project was a boondoggle Muskrat used to siphon money and attention away from actual public transportation projects. He’s publically admitted it! Practicality was never a concern because it’s the infrastructure equivalent of trolling.

Because its called The Boring Company, NOT The Walking Bridges Corporation.

Since it’s such a short distance, instead of cars you could just have moving walkways like airports. Nobody has to wait to load or unload from cars. More people can move at the same time. And you can even have accelerated speeds when you have multiple moving walkways in a line. The first is at a slower pace like

Your second point is the part that scrambles my brain the most. How in god’s name is FSD/Autopilot not able to handle temperature-controlled fully lit environment that doesn’t change? Heck, a totally separate program that lets the cars talk to each other in a controlled environment would probably be even easier/better

So from that blurb I have to assume Tesla has invented a way for cars/passenger to pass through each other like those twins in Matrix 2. Otherwise how does one car pass another stopped and dropping off passengers to go to a different stop further down without stopping itself?

The Musk fanboys will talk all day about what a genius Musk is because he can dig holes cheaper than anyone, but you will find that they will be very light on real facts. That’s because there is absolutely nothing special Musk did. His Boring Company bought one or more existing used tunnel diggers and just dug a hole.

What a stupid description...it’s like they don’t even know how their own system works.

Imagine trying to go 150 in that half-assed tunnel the way Musk insists you’ll be able to do.

There seems to be so much wrong with that Vegas Loop system.

“When an emergency vehicle is behind you, what should you do?” Definitely a basic driving question but judging by what I see actually happening on the streets of my city, not as straight forward an answer as you would hope.

London cab drivers have to “Be on The Knowledge”. This is a process that takes roughly two years to undergo, whereby a prospective London cab driver must demonstrate that they know their city inside, outside and backwards.

Digging the tunnel wasn’t a bad idea. Not laying down tracks and using an automated tram was.

I think cleaning the windows a little more often is a worthwhile tradeoff to keep the interior cleaned and protected. Water just isn’t going to get the job done, especially for things like steering wheels, gear shifters, and HVAC buttons that get used constantly. You need some sort of cleaner to break down the oils

The regular (blue) windex is still my g0-to.
