I find it unbelievable that this wasn’t a paid product placement. They had to throw in the ‘improperly parked fine’ part just so he could keep his cool.

“rugged”
I’m curious how they don’t know how many busses were built, but they know that only one still exists. How do they know that only one exists if they haven’t found all the other ones?
Coz put Tesla in a headline and you get da’clickz.
Lime probably loved showing that no one is above its terms and conditions.
Same reason Moog jammed a Honda Vtec into an original body mini. Are there easier ways to do it? sure. But who wants to watch sensible car mods?
I was thinking the same.
Tesla Already Discounting Cybertrucks In Desperate Attempt To Boost Sales
This restoration Cannes be done. Really, what’s Toulouse if it doesn’t work? While 1 bus is nice, a Paris better, but if Nantes more exist, oh well.
I remember back in the mid 90s, I think I was around 10 yrs old or so. There was a great aunt who had died (American, not French) and she was a lifelong smoker and smoked in her house, pretty much all the time.
An all glass bus in Paris in the 1950's.
I’ve seen that bus in the movie and online, it’s one of the ultimate examples of the colorful, optimistic and futuristic designs of the post WWII, anything-is-possible-let’s-go-into-space period. Now, sadly, we get the Cybertruck.
Aside from the well known spark plug issues, the crankshaft on the 6.8 is pretty weak. The split-pin crank (to accomodate the 2 extra cylinders on a modular engine design) makes it prone to failure when you crank up the power. In the end the amount of internal upgrades that need to be done to make it take the same…
They are at least five years too late to the game. When asked five years ago about a mid-size truck, Ram replied that they have the Ram Classic to fill that position.
Or two motorcycle engines, as was the basis of the Atom V8.
Gonna bet you that’s why he’s selling it. Came out the other end of this project with something far less impressive than it appears to be.
See my other reply. This battery pack can not supply 400 kW at all. Highest output value for the 16 kWh pack is 136 kW. Other sources put it at 110 or 120 kW only. That Tesla motor has to sip through a straw.
I hate to break it to everyone who’s drooling over this, but erhh... A 16 kWh battery pack from a Volt is never going to be able to supply 400 kW of power to the motor.
And off the table, straight in to the potted ficus!
I bet this thing accelerates (in speed and in sound) like a slot car from our youth.
