The change looks good. I’ve never understood the point of putting covers over off-road lights though. Rock-guards, sure, but complete covers that you have to get out of your vehicle to take off before you can actually use your lights seems... silly.

he remained a “happy customer” and that he still trusts his Tesla’s “self-driving”

Man I miss cars like this. The base models were like $80K new with a V10. What a time to be alive

Ugh, a year and a half’s worth of lot rot is hard on any vehicle, much less a sketch-to-begin-with-Maserati. $83K is nowhere enough of a discount.

Meh. Some dealer kept it around on an MSO for... reasons, then got bored of looking at it. I’d be more surprised if there was one Dodge Dart sold.

Proper gear is everything, but the reality was these things worked well in very specific locales. In extremely hilly, technical wooded trails, they were far, far more dangerous than either 4 wheelers or dirt bikes.

Or maybe that’s as closely as they can narrow it down with sufficient confidence?

As a university professor, I will say that teaching undergraduate snotlings is never repetitive because every year those beasts find new and inventive ways to make life frustrating. It’s like driving an Alfa.

QC is itself fallible. If indeed there are only a few to several affected vehicles out of a possible 23,000 it isn’t surprising that they got through. In fields that require truly comprehensive QA of every function and part of every unit of a big complicated machine, the products are priced accordingly.

Agree this is a clickbait headline, sadly. Only a few vehicles have been found unbolted, not 23K. The breadth of the recall is likely out of an abundance of caution. Also, this is as much a QC issue as a worker issue.

They didn’t. He worked on 23,000 vehicles. So far, only 3 have been found with loose bolts. Click-baity headline reduces reading comprehension.

Why does Waymo worry about whether a passenger is drunk? That’s the main purpose for calling a taxi/Uber/whatever!

This is more a QC issue at the plant than a worker issue.

Wait until he hears about gloves!

Not defending a sloppy worker, but that’s got to be a mind-numbing job.
