“You gotta jiggle the handle a little bit.”

“Okay, if it stalls, turn the key off, pump the gas a few times, turn the key on, floor it, floor it, key off, key on, pump the gas until it catches.”

No, and neither have you. Nobody with the easy means to charge at home complains about EV range. That’s just asinine to claim.

I know it’s early days, but Rivian seems like it’s turning out to be what Tesla pretends to be.

While I could see people voting NP, I went ND. There is almost no price I would pay for one of these. People love them, but I don’t get it. There isn’t anything great about them and for $10k, I am looking elsewhere.

Folks often blame range anxiety as a reason not to buy an electric vehicle even though they live in an urban area with ample charging options,”

ND. You can get a really nice Crown Vic LX for that price. This thing is tacky AF

At first I was thinking this was a NP if it didn’t have that horrid landau top on it, but then I got to thinking that there must be a LOT of full size domestic cars of this era in reasonable shape and with reasonable mileage for $10K or less, so if you really wanted a land barge like this you could probably come to

I know how much we love Panthers, but they long ago reached the point in their arc where they’re mostly cheap, simple, spacious transportation. If you want to keep yours in showroom condition, good on ya, but don’t expect to recover your investment in maintenance.

Whoa, I didn’t realize these things had a turbo!

Anything can be reused if enough effort goes into it. Just whittle away anything that isn’t the rotary engine.

They keep trying with that engine. Sorry it’s not that efficient and it’s not as reliable as any circle cylinder engine. If the ICE is gonna directly power the rear wheels, just give us a good 4/6 cyl, with or without hybrid. If they really must do something “creative” license the Porsche 6 stroke, or a do a 6 stroke

I am excited about the possibilities of rotary engines salvaged from wrecked MX30s in homemade death machines. Even a single rotor makes for an exciting motorcycle or Kart

The length of the loan is forever, because the customer is going to do the same thing again long before it’s paid off.

At least 5 years, maybe as much as 7 depending on how much they fleeced him in the finance department.

To be fair, an ICE generator is under much less stress than an ICE directly powering the drive wheels. But you are right about Mazda dealers needing training. I see the new RX sportscar being a flagship $50-70k car to start, and similar to how the R35 GTR was handled, only certain dealers(probably high sellers) will

The guy is trying to buy a ~$90k car while being $29k underwater and only has $7500 to put down. Assuming a 6.5% car tax (this is a guess) and a 10% interest rate (no way this guy is in single digits), you hit that $2500 with 60 months of payments.

Supposedly, they work quite well in applications where they’re not having to deal with varying engine speeds and loads.

I wonder if they figured out how to make one last longer than a timing belt.
