I can make a single serving of mashed potatoes in about 20 minutes start to finish. If you only doing a small serving it only takes maybe 12 minutes to boil a potato. You can use that time to brown the ground beef and cook the veggies. 

They will still give them antibiotics just not ones similar to those used on humans. 

They may just switch to paper. They already use a lot of it. The real trick will be finding a gravy container but I suppose they could go with reusable ones.
