I dig this... as someone who used to draw in an anime style (but stopped because I couldn’t get likenesses to work in that format), I really appreciate seeing these comparisons.

I feel like the evil C-3PO would be more like that scheming gay footman from Downton Abbey.

Oh the movie's going to be insanely distinct from either Robotech OR Macross so who gives a damn about semantics. It's just gonna have the toys and a vague sense of familiarity to it.

Well, programs like Scrivener, Evernote and I'm guessing Ulysses aren't just text editors, they're organizational programs. What you get out of them depends on what kind of organized person you are, but it allows you to compartmentalize your writing, research, notes, etc. It's great for moving your information

"His arm was his wife" might be my favourite new euphemism.

Oh the other side of the screen... it all looked so easy.

Yeah, cause of the parts. Lateral thinking through obsolete technology creates interesting products, but not the most powerful ones.

THANK YOU! Archer proclaiming "this is an NX class starship" was the first thing that entered my mind.

Man, I remember seeing this on DVD. Back then, when you could go frame-by-frame, I would watch the fights one frame at a time and study them and draw them. I had pages and pages and pages of Chinese warriors bouncing off walls, flying in the air, spinning, kicking, etc. But I can't do that with streaming. I miss

(singing) Freya Willia and her killer whale, will ya save us, will ya kill us, Freya Willia and her killer whale, will they be our friends?

There's some other AMAZING Mass Effect Cosplay on this blog, at the very least we need to get them together in the same place with some high def cameras filming.

Wow.

BTW, who else has this song in their mix? This site (or one of these Kinja kiddies) linked a performance of this song and it rocks.

You know, for all the talk about the blue wingdangdoodle in Watchmen, I don't remember ANYONE saying anything about the balls.

It's an eight hour aerobic showcase on platform heels, it really does a number on your body.

You need a soundboard with funny spring effects.

It's weird that there weren't little tells for that, like a Scorpion tattoo on Scorpina or Divatox's face mask thing.

Guardians is a great example, it's a movie made out of parts, you can see the influence of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc but the characters and interactions are so endearing and light that they can skip from one type of movie to another very effortlessly.

PR isn't a reboot of sentai, it's a remix. They took the original show (which was already a mix of superhero and Godzilla/Ultraman type shows), clashed it with Saved By The Bell, put a rock score on the whole thing to tie it together and kept pumping it out. The charm of the show is all the rough edges, the stuff

I didn't even realize until the end credits that those two women were meant to be Divatox and Scorpina!
