There's triple sec in Long Island iced teas if you like those.

Now playing

I haven't been able to get this song out of my head all week:

You had Ms. Raiser too?!?

Really? We were shown the tampon machine in the bathroom and told to get our shit together pronto.

I used to be a collections rep for a bank. A customer who was late on her mortgage said that she hadn't made her payment that month because the price of cigarettes had gone up so much at the beginning of the year and she didn't know when she'd be able to repay the delinquent amount and late fees.

Honest question here: was it argued that the victim could have gotten drunk after the sex?

I became a vegetarian a few months ago. I think I chose a good time to do it.

Those with Sirius XM subscriptions - this song gets heavy rotation on the XMU channel (35). Great song.

Sometimes even that doesn't help. My mom is a kickass seamstress who routinely buys clothes she likes but don't fit her perfectly as she can hem or otherwise alter them. But even she has her limits in terms of what needs to be done, the cut and structure of the item, etc. She had to give up on a pair of pants she

OMG, this reminds me of a funny story. Some friends and I were renting a house for the weekend a few years ago. I slept in the living room on the couch. I got up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water or something and knocked over a glass in the dark. I tried shuffling my feet to get to the light

Nah, today is a visit to the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain (as seen in Moonraker). But he's seen both before. I'm not kidding. :)

I need some advice or direction or something here. Mr. eejm works a job in which he travels to some really awesome far-flung places, often for several weeks at a time. I work a rather dull job that involves little travel (unless you count a long commute). We have an 11-year-old son who is a pretty sweet,

I'm traveling internationally later this year! I'll most likely be going to either Brazil or Poland. I live to travel and haven't done much of it for the past few years, so I'm pumped.

During the same conversation in which I told him about the recent miscarriage I'd had and how he didn't understand why I'd told him because he "couldn't do anything about that," he said he'd been seeing another girl.

I'm tremendously psychologically satisfied by that conclusion. Bravo. :)

I hear you there. Do they still make refillable compacts?

That's true. My husband and I chose to have only one child partly because each of us has one sibling with whom we're not particularly close. Neither of us felt much of a benefit in a sibling relationship, so we had little motivation to provide our son with one. We don't regret it, but I hope it doesn't bring about

  • Between $3500-$4000, estimated

YES. My BIL and SIL are forever in financial upheaval because they could not bear not to have a daughter after having two boys. They got their girl, but the three kids they have are too much for them to handle financially, mentally, and physically.

I know it's anecdotal, but sibling rivalry/contention has been a major factor in my life. There are 4 years between my brother and I.
