I was like this for a couple of weeks after the election and then again after the inauguration. I try to keep myself busy at work and have taken to avoiding the urge to check twitter/Facebook at all times of the day by listening to audiobooks while I work, which helps me concentrate and actually get anything done.

Instead of just reading the news, get involved in changing things starting at the grass roots level. Find out where the “indivisible” meeting is taking place for your local jurisdiction and show up to the meeting; find out how you can effect actual change.

Someone posted this, last night. It seems superficial at first glance but there are nice little reminders that we need breaks to take care of our physical and mental health. 🌼

Imagine having children instead of grades to worry about.

This is me. I’ve been a news junkie my whole life and made it through 8 years of Bush, but this? Fucking Christ. I want to become a hermit.

SAme here. I’m in my second quarter at school, and I’ve been completely useless. I alternate between massively consuming news and sinking into deep pits of anxiety and depression. I am seriously worried about my grades at this point.

Sarah Weddington is amazing. She is proof that either lawyers are getting dumber or the quality of law schools and a legal education has gone downhill. She was only four years out of law school when she made oral arguments before the Supreme Court. I still get nervous in district court.

As someone who as adopted, I can offer up my life as a source that, yes, pro lifers will continuously ask them about how they can be pro-choice when they are the result of pro-life laws.

Y’all need to understand that cocky white guys will always have each others’ backs before anything else, regardless of religion, regardless of party. Let’s stop being surprised by this.
