I taught English for awhile overseas and played Hocus Pocus for my students every October. They all loved it, young and old. I have seen it probably 20-30 times now just because I watched it with every class.

AND my second one. This was the most terrifying night of my life:

My father had picked up my sister and myself from school and we all split off to do our separate things (her to go watch TRL or something equally great; him to prepare dinner for his daughters who rarely helped— sorry dad). I headed upstairs to my room, climbed to the top of my awesome bunk bed, and began re-reading Th

So I was in the opposite position; my fiance thanked me for EVERYTHING: things that were common courtesies (putting away the groceries or emptying the dishwasher) or slightly larger things, like sending flowers to his mom for her bday. I got annoyed and said to stop, that these were totally normal things that should

PS: I’m a pretty serious, long-time vegetarian and I hereby give you Official Royal Vegetarian Permission to complain about vegetarian food (I kept reading and saw some people complaining downthread about your issue with the meatless portion of the wedding).

I would be more annoyed about the cost and time— it’s their wedding, so it can be as dry and as vegetarian as they want (you just might have to pregame and then try to act as sober as possible, which is a fun game that I often like to play).

I would wear the bridesmaids’ dresses. They’re adorable.

You look so gorgeous (I am intrigued by this Jane Austen-esque ‘do; care to tell more as I’m getting married next year and am looking into hairstyles now??) and I LOVE THIS PICTURE.

by the time you read this, you will be married! :-) congrats!

OH stunning. I was looking into a similar veil, but it is not nearly as long or delicate-looking.

You are beautiful AF!!!

Ohmygod, all so beautiful.

Yes! That’s such a good way of putting it. My original comment was kind of a throw-away comment (well, I thought it was, but the responses have blown up it up) about how I was so sick of people fighting about bullshit things when we really should be in this together. Like you said, it’s not like there’s a finite

Wait stop was this explicitly a costume party or did Beyonce just come dressed like this, just because?

Which is what I did after seeing a few responses (some more measured than others). My post was actually not directed at you at all, and I actually appreciated your follow-up which was well-written and needed to be said.

All of them seemed offensive, but the “trans women are not real women!” is what stuck out to me— like they are not deserving of the feminist movement.

I’m late on this but I’ve had so many friends say, “I have to change my name, especially for the kids, or people will be confused!”

She, and many vocal others. It’s embarrassing.

Great, thanks for all your help and instruction.

Right? Who on earth is stealing any sort of light from Kim?
