Ok I like her dresses too! They are perfect for the DC work culture. Also so comfortable. And affordable.

Aw but that’s such a sweet story. It seems like your grandpa both respected your (completely sane and valid) opinion, but also loved playing into the fact that your grandma does love all the silly stuff. That’s a wonderful story!

PREAAAACH.

Well no one told ME!

I fell asleep and slept very very soundly and peacefully during The Hobbit. A friend gently nudged me awake at the end. She’s a good friend.

I wish we had more “real wedding dress shopping” posts. :-( ITheeDread has been a little dead on the helpful wedding dress/wedding planning side lately....

I wanted SO BADLY to walk out of Van Helsing but I was with a huge Hugh Jackman fan and she maaaade me stay and our friendship was just never the same.

The one on the far left would be pretty, if it was beige-colored lining underneath. Honestly, I don’t think any of these are even close to Pnina’s monstrosities.

The image of someone “walking out” via car to me is so hilarious that I just laughed out loud at my desk.

A Spider-Man and a Pirates of the Caribbean. Not even sure which ones in the series— 3rd and 10335th, respectively? Maybe?

I was fortunate enough to see that on DVD and could turn it off halfway through. If it had been in a theater I would’ve definitely bailed.

A lot of these shows are just popular the aesthetic is so fantastic. It’s like that cray-cray Victorian couple. I don’t think they actually want to live in that time. They’re just super into the fashion and look and maybe like three of the values. Same with all this.

FUN FACT: This is one of three movies in which I walked out midway through. And for teenage me, that was a big deal, you all. Movies are expensive!

I am on nobody’s side in this article. Everyone seems like they could’ve made better choices.

Meh, I’m just so consistently disappointed with anything Ryan Murphy-related, but I get drawn in every time because the promos and artwork are so cool. But then 3-4 episodes in, you always realize that there are enough plotlines to fill up five other shows, and that he probably hasn’t thought a single one of them

Oh cool, so now Americans can join forces with the wackjobs in Northern Ireland and with our powers combined, we can prevent women on opposite sides of the ocean from obtaining care! Yes!!! It’s so great when we can recognize religious insanity akin to our own and help nurture it.

This part two of “UGHHHH I JUST CAN’T EVEN” of today.

The Republicans pulling a Producers-style scam is literally the best conspiracy theory I have ever heard. Ever.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I have a weird soft spot for Rand Paul, mostly because he’s the only one on the GOP stage who makes any sense (about 40% of the time) and he looks so grumpy and upset he’s lumped in with the rest of the wackos.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
