Given how many times tech-bros have “accidentally reinvented” basic infrastructure like Buses, Libraries, etc. - it’s possible that Tesla is honestly unaware of trains...

The front bit was a small (ish) car, you left the back bit in the garage when commuting, hitched it up the back to do family stuff, the rear wheels of the little car hoicked themselves out of the way and hey presto. Big car.

TLDR: We dealers are paying A LOT MORE money for poorly engineered vehicles that we make A LOT LESS money on. They got rid of cars our customers want and are charging way too much for cars our customers dont want, and it’s the dealers problem to retain these now pissed-off customers.

I actually did get saddled with a free Hyundai Accent. Twice. Hateful little shitboxes (especially the second which didn’t have A/C, and I had to drive for work), but functional enough it was hard to justify spending money for something nicer.

A car with manual everything. I’ve driven a few cars without power steering and a manual transmission and it makes you really think about what you are doing at all times.  Parallel parking really make you appreciate a power steering pump.
