Better than using Guest Mode for this, cascade two routers.

Bold of you to assume I have guests

The last thing you want to do is give non-family members access to your internet connection.

There is no protection against rouge children.

You forgot the most important part about guest mode, and that is to put all your IOT (Internet of things) devices on the guest mode and not your main wifi. So, if your IOT device gets compromised they do not have access to your internal network.

I don’t have a huge problem with China. I know their issues, but if it wasn’t them, we would be dealing with someone else that’s questionable. This is what the US has to do. All the eggs shouldn’t be in one basket, and we see what happens when they are. EV batteries are going to be vital to US infrastructure. They

Fuck China

That truck is absurdly huge. WTF are they thinking.

...Surely the Chinese understand this will only make us more resolved to do this? This is Mickey Mouse diplomacy.

To decouple with China means to disconnect from the world’s largest market as well as the biggest opportunity,”

Well, therein lies the whole problem: China may be the world’s largest market, but the opportunity is shrinking rapidly.

Lithium will likely be replaced with a different element. Some people say there’s only ~70 years of mineable lithium available...

China?  A superpower?  They are at best a regional power, like Russia.

It’s all posturing. China would be silly to not have some sort of response to a situation that will affect Chinese revenues.

You really think China is the only player in processing lithium and cobalt? China isn’t going to win, they’ll just become another hermit kingdom like North Korea and, soon, Russia.

Indeed, that means they theoretically have access to 8.1 million tons of lithium. That’s barely anything considering what the US and other Western Countries have access to. China is not going to win the lithium war.

The Chinese ambassador says cutting China off will end up cutting the U.S. out of the Chinese car market, and vice versa.”

OK, I guess they figure that (a somewhat understandable) desire to generate revenue from China will somehow supersede the U.S.’s desire for independence from a Chinese supply chain? Or is there
