Rory, is a full review coming? I’m not out of range for seriously considering a base 911 and I would love to hear some details on your driving impressions. It’s not like you guys get a lot of opportunities to drive these things. Let's hear some more.

Issue is when the servers shut down and you are missing fixes for game breaking bugs as an example.

I have to admit that these three still have a lot to give, and I love the fact that Amazon has gone away from the Top Gear 2 format they had early on in The Grand Tour.

yeah, if the insurance company was the actual one to downgrade without consent could be a huge lawsuit in the favor of the insured. i wouldnt be surprised one single bit if the insurance company is allstate.

For a minute there I thought it was a new Lexus

Agree, Carlos Sr. is fully awesome. Imagine the conversations around the dinner table when you’re a top F1 driver and your dad is a two-time World Rally Champion who’s still doing Dakar and Extreme E in his late 50's.

if drivers can still easily buy their way into the world championship” - they can’t. There are drivers who are eligible, who then CAN snatch a sponsorship. If you think that in different sports the “deserving” people magically get the positions they deserve, you are mistaken.

F1 has had paid drivers for decades now. Having them doesn’t not make it a sport.

Scoring goes down in basketball, you start calling hand checks tougher. Scoring goes down in baseball, you juice the balls. Scoring goes down in football, you call pass interference tighter. Scoring goes down in hockey, cut back on clutching and grabbing.

Much agreed. I also can’t help but think back to when Vettel or Schumacher were dominant, and how people said that the “end” of F1 was near because of how predictable things were getting. This year, both drivers deserved the win, the FIA does need to do better, but we should all just move on. F1 isn’t going to be

Angel Hernandez just sued you.

If you think F1 is no longer a sport because of questionable officiating decisions, I'm afraid you don't watch many sports.

I mean, it’s fine to say that you aren’t personally interested in the mood/tone one way or the other, but it’s absolutely a key component of the franchise. It’s something that has been discussed, clearly focused on, and generally praised with nearly every entry in the franchise.

Metroid music was and is, the majority of the time, meant to be part of the environment you are exploring

The frustrating thing is that with Super Metroid Nintendo was dangerously close to the environmental storytelling that the Souls series is now known for.

Literally the only themes I remember from any Metroid game are the original Brinstar music from the NES and Crateria’s theme from Super Metroid.

I think nostalgia in the way you describe is just a barrier to enjoyment. Letting the fondness of youth stand in the way of new experiences is exactly why so many gamers are unhappy with anything other than their classic favorites. I’m not going to sit here and tell you what games are the best and which you should

They don’t make Star Fox because only 2 (the original and 64) sold really well.

They didn’t sell Banjo Kazooie. They never bought up Rare, having only owned a minority stake in the studio, so Banjo went with them when Microsoft bought them out. Same with all of Rare’s other IP like Perfect Dark.

Just think of it in terms of how media is cyclical.
