that’s not the same thing and you know it. we replaced cassette tapes with CDs and VHS tapes with DVDs. replacing one physical media for another. DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, and even vinyl records still exist. we never got rid of them.

I don’t understand the commenters who are cheering the slow demise of physical media. Like, fair enough if all-digital works for you, but why wouldn’t you want other people to have options?
