I don’t think you understand.
I don’t think you understand.
The secret weapon of this show isn’t its heart, it’s the facial acting on display by almost all of the main players, but especially Waddingham (I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actor who makes every muscle in her face put in work), Hunt’s Hush Puppy eyes, and of course Goldstein’s “the imperceptible facial twitch I…
F1 can choose to refund the MASSIVE hosting fee tracks pay for the privilege of hosting an F1 event, which would allow Spa to provide at least partial refunds. That’s what this comes down to: F1 got paid to be at Spa, and if they choose to keep that money and do nothing it’s on them.
The fact that he’s using that to his advantage is a good thing.
Very similar thing happened in WEC at Fuji in 2012 or so. The entire six hours was either behind safety car or under red flag, but points were awarded at the end of the day.
My biggest concern with the refund approach is that I think the big loser will be Spa itself. They had no fans last year, they would have to give money back now. We hear every year that track funding is the reason we are losing Historic European events and gaining events in cash rich, heritage poor (and human rights…
All laps were run behind the safety car. Of course there’s no fastest lap.
How about the argument “physical copies are usually half the price”?
Also you can resell them after finishing them, so you could maybe get half of that back, which means your $70 game now costs $17.5 instead.
Do that with three games and your disc version of the PS5 just cost you $50 less than the digital only version.
If…
True, it is very rare for the entire game to be on the disc now and at least part of that is because the discs are made before game development is finished these days. It is still a better starting point as using the disc cut out a lot of install time for the FF7 Remake (on Ps4, switching to the PS5 upgrade took a…
ah, so you’re arguing in bad faith. A pity. Carry on, I guess.
“If the whole premise is owning the game long term then you don’t get to list selling it as a bonus”
First Sale Doctrine has been a thorn in the side of corporations for decades. They hate it. They want nothing more than to be the only means of you obtaining a product, the only means of you repairing a product, and the only means of you buying future products.
They don’t want you to be able to buy from third parties…
You saw how Sony was about to shut down the PSP/Vita/PS3 stores earlier this year, right? And then the uproar that followed forced them to keep two of the three accessible, at least for now.
that’s not the same thing and you know it. we replaced cassette tapes with CDs and VHS tapes with DVDs. replacing one physical media for another. DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, and even vinyl records still exist. we never got rid of them.
I don’t understand the commenters who are cheering the slow demise of physical media. Like, fair enough if all-digital works for you, but why wouldn’t you want other people to have options?
Max is 23, George is 23, and Lando is 21. They are all going to be around for a while,
I strongly suspect Vettel could recite the names of half a dozen historical drivers who stopped to save the lives of other racers on track...
I’ve never been able to stand Vettel as a driver, or talking about his driving, whatever team he’s at - I find him narcissistic, rage-prone and obnoxious. But the weird thing is, when he’s doing anything else he seems like a great guy. When he’s geeking out over F1 history or talking about his farming, or just having…
I enjoyed Vettel being driver, race director, commentator, and medical car in the same half lap.
Lewis Hamilton made some comments earlier today that there’s a nasty bump in Raidillon now after the flooding. Not sure if that’s at the same point that everyone lost control here, but it’s seems terribly odd that all of them lose traction at the same place, the same way.
