Agreed. Wheelspin is really the biggest trouble. Even with 225 wide sticky summer tires it is way too easy to chirp or squeal even if you are just goosing it into traffic. AWD will add some weight, but you’d be able to use the full throttle.

I don’t think it’s this at all. The XL simply sells better, and is far more comfortable for anyone with even smallish adult sized hands. Kid hands might find the smaller model better, but they’ve mostly been gearing the 2DS towards kids, leaving no place in the line up for the original standard model.
