Not just a dirty trick by Hamilton (Nico Rosberg commentated on it saying “the games, oh the games! the games have begun” in his best supervillain voice) but those were probably team orders. That being said, it was a bad plan by RBR to let Max and Checo out then.

Did you seriously think Horner and Marko were just going to let this thing go? Hamilton put their prized pupil and winning supercar with all its new winning aerodynamic bits and winning Honda engine in the wall with a move not unlike the one he’d used on another prized Marko pupil not once but twice, only worse. And

You know that the next line was “Car 44 was predominantly at fault” which is the overall judgment. Yes, okay, maybe not 100%, but in context, there’s nothing in that summary that puts Car 33 as even remotely responsible (or irresponsible).

We typed it “Alboned” with an emphasis on “boned” but yes, same.

Yes, but had that not happened and had Bottas been anyone else or if he had been even slightly antagonistic or unwilling to follow team rules (which is known to happen) for a lap or two, which is to say for a minute or two, Lewis doesn’t get enough of a chance to pass Mr. Sharl Eclair. Maybe this isn’t “stealing” but

And then he could have gone to check on Max. He didn’t. Not to say he had to, but I think the overt celebration clashed with the reality of the situation.

“Cars 33 [Verstappen] and 44 [Hamilton] entered turn 9 with Car 33 in the lead and Car 44 slightly behind and on the inside” which went against what Hamilton said about being next to or ahead of Max.

My group text with friends who watch F1 was basically memes of Alex Albon having PTSD as the crash happened.

They placed the blame entirely on Hamilton and he got penalized for it. It wasn’t “more blame”. It was “all of the blame”.

Five times: you forgot when Bottas got team orders not to fight with Hamilton. Bottas was going slower, but if he had made it a little harder for Lewis to pass, Lewis wouldn’t have reached Leclerc in time to challenge him on the second-to-last lap.

I think it would all go down easier had Lewis shown more concern for Max (which he couldn’t do because the stewards hadn’t said a thing and he didn’t want to appear guilty) and not celebrated as bigly as he did. He was very un-Hamilton in his celebration and it was jarring given that Max was in the hospital as it

Terrible? Absolutely. Forgettable? Mazespin is not.

Lando and Russell did an amazing job and are likely the future of F1, if not the future of British racing. Sheer talent.

Considering how RBR is taking Honda’s F1 unit in-house (and the latter is producing one last power unit for next year before it gets out of F1 altogether) I assume there’s a lot of work being done at RBR-R&D.

It’s clear that Russell has a hell of a career ahead of him. I hope he is at least able to give Williams a point before he gets picked by someone else, and by that someone else I mean Mercedes.

Also, he’s young and has many years to go in the business. It’s not like Gasly can say “fuck you I’m going elsewhere.” Ferrari has Leclerc locked for years and Mick in the wings. McLaren has Lando and is happy with Daniel. Aston Martin has Lance (who is going nowhere) and Vettel (who just got there). MAYBE, MAYBE if

Before reading about it, I always thought the branding meant “Mission Win Now” and the arrow was a way for Ferrari higher ups to point the way the car was supposed to go (not sideways and into barriers, Charles).

I don’t see Perez moving any time soon. He’s delivering for Red Bull and if he’s out after a season or two Red Bull is clearly going to be “The Max Show, guest starring X for a season”.

So much fun. Good for everyone but especially for McLaren and Gasly. Maybe not the Ferraris though.

Had they listened to Valtteri, they probably would have had both on podiums and held back RBR in the Constructor’s, though.
