Real question here: Why do you think all of Big12 football is this way? What’s stopping, say, Baylor (or anyone really) from becoming the 2012 version of Stanford in the conference, and doing the 3 TE set offense and dominating defense?
I personally don’t see the entertainment value in game of thrones either, but I see your point. Just another way to escape reality.

That raises some questions about what paying them looks like. Does each athlete at the school get paid the same amount? Does each school pay athletes differently? I’d guess the answers to both those questions is no, but something to think about.
I was just thinking about how it would work to pay college athletes. Would every college athlete get the same amount? Would that amount differ from school to school? I think some reform needs to happen, these are just some of the questions they would have to answer.
That’s true, in a sense, but playing offense is tiring (not that playing a whole game on defense is a walk in the park) because you have to run all the way up the field to get in any reasonable scoring position. If you make any mistakes, you then have to sprint back, because you have fewer players back to help defend.
