I surprised she didn’t role out the “Blue Lives Matter” whine.

Listen peeps, Black Lives Matter isn’t saying that ‘white lives’ don’t matter. They aren’t saying that ‘police lives’ don’t matter. All they are saying is, “Treat our Black lives with equal concern as you would want your own.”

I know the GOP gets this but

fwiw I think people really should only use the word “bully” when referring to an ongoing campaign of harassment against a person or group by another person or group. Anyone who was bullied can tell you it’s not just a single incident, but something that happens with enough frequency that it has a significant impact on

Pretending bullying is black and white, and that the world can be sliced into “bullies” and “the bullied”, is always a bit daft.

I think “the first year is the hardest” is mostly the “not living together before marriage” thing, but also possibly not knowing each other super well before that living together, and not having a slew of former roommates that did some of the hard work in making you livable and understanding of others’ quirks.

Also not to mention that CA is 13% of the US economy, so...

finally, someone who is thinking about the PEOPLE of this country. I am so tired of this GOP bullshit idea of “I got mine, fuck you”. the united states is NOT a business, it is a nation filled with millions of actual PEOPLE and should be seen and run as such.

And those pensions should be fully funded, but the states are usually not doing their job. They take money that should be going to the pension programs and they redirect them to their little pet projects.

Why should tax payers have sway over pensions? Ideally the pensions are self funded by government employees. Tax dollars are not supposed to go to pensions. (In reality, a lot of places borrow against pensions to help make up budget shortfalls. Or the pension was undermined by dishonest money managers)

You moved out of CA becuse no one would hire you there. Go fuck yourself, dipshit.

If those pensions are the difference between being able to afford food and medication when you’re too infirm to work, then yeah, you can die.

“Tough titty” - The Republican response to hearing people will suffer and die

Bullshit - close to half the country decided not to bother themselves with voting and look who we have in office. Even setting aside the whining position of my vote just doesnt matter crap, voting in all the local and state elections is what sets up these national politics. Now try that same whining crap and tell me a

Pictures with faces in them are much more fun to look at. I feel like there’s a difference between taking a well-composed picture of yourself in some exotic locale while traveling and taking one of yourself in the bathroom mirror that looks exactly like the other 400 bathroom mirror shots you have in your Instragram

The person in the photo might be the only thing separating it from countless others. Take the Eiffel Tower image above ... if she’s out of the photo, it’s just ANOTHER picture of the Eiffel Tower. I guess the weather and maybe the angle are sort of unique ... ? Really, it’s the person in the photo that sets it apart.

Some of my favorite pictures are the ones my grandparents took of themselves in their younger years when they traveled the United States (and later various countries in the world).

Sorry, I should have stated upfront but I’ve been in the recruiting industry for a little over a decade.
I’ve talked to potential candidates in the past that had “hired” a recruiter because they were conned, paid the recruiter a few thousand dollars upfront and were just sent on a few bogus interviews.
Her phrasing

They do more than that: studies have shown that the gender gap in our media means people perceive actual 50/50 balance in group photos to be “woman-dominated” and well less than 50% women (I want to say something like 20-30%) to be “equal” >:(

How does this not have more stars.

“To talk him out of doing crazy things.”

I watched the first two episodes with my husband last night, and when I asked him what he thought of it, he said, “it was pretty fucked up, but the world is pretty fucked up right now, so...??” He’s a keeper!
