“I felt some fear but mainly was disappointed,” he admitted. “They didn’t accept me right away.”

Yes and yes.

Virtually none of that is produce by the fashion houses, though - they’re usually local copies, made without authorization, and nobody here in Asia mistakes them as authentic products. It’s just fun decoration.
And that’s not even getting into the weird, veiled racism of our fashionista friend above and her odd ideas

“He knew he could put it on anything and they’d buy it”

I would buy the HELL out of that audiobook.

The Onion Knight quoting Pratchett may have just given me a geek infarction.

“The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money.

I can't stand any of those people, but what was she supposed to do? Empty an implant to put out the fire?

“I’m dying,” Asaly says. “I’m literally actually deceased.”

When it really means just “move your body for maybe an hour a day.” And that could mean anything. Go for long walks. Lift. Cardio. Hikes. Yoga. Zumba. Sports with friends. People should find
