You aren’t going to get rid of racism by getting rid of one symbol. Racism in the south is entrenched and, in many ways, encouraged by the leaders there. They’ll just find another symbol, and this one will start creeping back in when the heat dies down. If you really want to save lives, work on reining in guns.

I think it’s a thum belonging somebody outside of the picture.

You’ve already lost this encounter, Possums. Your post wasn’t funny. Get over it.

Actually I have a great sense of humor when somebody says something funny. You didn’t.

Oh, you mean “stupid” like the triregnum, e.g. triple crown, that the Pope wears, because the Pope only has one head? You have no imagination.

Godspell?

This guy sounds like the textbook definition of “slow learner.”

The whole family - Ron, Rand, and Ru - must be so ashamed of him.

I’m sitting here reading as much of this thread as I can. It’s hard because I keep crying and can’t see the screen.

My mother was a raging alcoholic. My father had drinking issues too but managed to hold it together well enough to hold a very responsible job in the military. Some time around second grade I came to the

I tend to take things literally too. In this case I think the name is probably unnecessarily confusing and they probably should have called it something else.

They always do something like this. I’ve never figured it out, but they seem to consistently wear clothes that are designed for people at least 6 inches taller than they are and that have way too much fabric for their petite frames. How can they possibly think that is attractive? Girls, you can look taller, but you

It really did have a “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme? I didn’t know that with the first batch of pictures I saw over at the Daily News. I thought the theme might be “I Can Look Tackier Than You.” The only person I saw who looked decent at all was Derek Jeter. I just wonder why he bothered...

We’ve got a Macaroni Grill restaurant a few miles away. I’ve never been, mostly because I keep imagining macaroni shish kebabs. For some reason, it never occurred to me that a Cheesecake Factory would be a factory though I’ve never been to one. (I clearly don’t get out enough.) Don’t they have menus in the front

I’m imagining it rhyming with “Shrek.”

That’s not how I read that quote. It sounds to me as if he (or his mother) is saying that if something scary is happening, there are people out there helping it to happen. He should have been clearer.

That quote may sound super insightful, but what exactly are you supposed to do with the “helpers” after you’ve looked for them? Just use them to spread the blame around? Meanwhile the original situation still exists.

Are they now going to move into Indiana and Texas and all the other sub-normal-IQ states where they will be able to claim that buying up real-estate is part of their deeply-held religious beliefs? Damn. I wish there was somewhere in the world left to move where intelligence and common sense was still no only allowed

Would Mujah have even let Jennifer have any access to Daniel when he was dying? I doubt it.

Don't fret yourself over understanding it, Kineada. Not everybody is capable of understanding the intracacies of language or appreciate subtleties. Maybe you'll grow into it some day.
