Exactly, in general Canadian debit cards can't be used for credit transactions in the same way that American debit cards are normally VISA or Mastercard branded.

This is my thought exactly. The guns you start off with are very well balanced and powerful. (i.e. M16/M4. They were the first in COD4 and I think are close to the first ones in MW2, M16 possibly a bit later though) I think the "better" guns that come later are really just differences in style, not power.
