This was such a nice and civil response, I just wanted you to know that I appreciated it a lot as a third party in this thread :)

I was feeling compelled to rant on this subject in a new post but yours is sufficient! I don't know what has happened around here that stories of people triumphing over mainstream oppression are being drowned out by the even-more-oppressed everywhere you look. A few weeks ago vegetarianism was suddenly a trait only…
I'm sorry for your experiences but maybe don't just pile your own hangups onto this woman who, sorry, is not simply fat but has clearly been working out up to and throughout her months of pregnancy.
1.) New?
Ahhh I'm so curious who. Pretty sure I know but don't want to say anything just in case! I think it's still a great show worth seeing through but I get where you're coming from. Damn depressing show even compared to the other HBO Greats.
The plot thickens!!
I am transfixed by this gif
I know this is not the topic of conversation but DAYUM why can't we go back to appreciating women's bodies that are natural or at least look natural? Her arms are toned but not cut, her boobs are proportionate to her waist and her face looks clean and youthful without looking clearly surgery-ified. I know people…
I think this may not be Photoshopping but just EXTREME body-bending to make her right ass cheek push back far enough to be visible around the left one, despite her upper body being turned to the right.
Outside of really REALLY nice places, I found the Bay Area in CA totally too expensive for the quality. We ate at one place where I somehow got undercooked scallops and overdone shrimp on the same plate for instance, for like $40, whereas in Boston that same dish would be $25 max and cooked perfectly. Similarly at one…
This has actually turned into a great discussion and I'm glad to see so many people who disagree that 15% is standard and anyone tipping more than that is a monocle-wearing top-hat Richie Rich.
THIS
This is 100% how I feel. I know there will be assholes like Digit-Aria who count out change and leave exactly 15% pre-tax so I have no problem cutting a bit more onto my tip especially if the server is relaxed, friendly and good at his/her job.
I don't eat meat but if I would eat rabbit meat I think I shouldn't be too put off by its pelt. Cutting meat out of my diet has made me oddly a lot colder towards this kind of thing somehow. I just want the animals to be humanely killed before whatever is going to happen to their body parts.
I never understood that either but a lot of nicer places I go often break it down on the receipt that way. Confession, I do sometimes eat at places where the bill is $50+ :O and I still tip at least 20% if not closer to 25% because the waitstaff at those places are serious pros and here in the Boston area anyway the…
Thank you! It makes so much sense when you say it ;)
LOL thank you. I also tip my 20%+ on... gasp... the total including drinks AND tax! THE HORROR!!
Just to add on to my last post I think for me it's because three singles seems obviously less than one $5 bill. Again, this is FOR ME. If I have a $5 and I have five singles I will leave the $5 instead of three or four ones. I guess this makes me a total 1% elitist asshole in some people's minds and that makes me a…
Shrug. I don't really care what anyone does with their money, I just think if choosing between $3 and $5 is a major decision for you it might not be responsible to go out to eat all the time. OPINION. Sorry for having one.
