The last time I got in a Facebook flare-up with the gross old conservative "husband" of a high school friend of mine, his talking point about this was "Not everyone deserves to make $75K per year!" He conveniently stopped responding when I pointed out that someone working a full 40 (which most fast food workers never

My mom was perpetually running late and always getting us to activities late and whatnot so I have really tried as an adult to be super punctual and shoot to arrive 5 min early to anywhere. I cannot believe how inconsiderate some/most people are. I generally find myself waiting between 5 and 20 minutes for people on

I make a big show of tapping my feet and huffing and puffing while my husband takes forever to get himself ready to get out the door. Of course I am crazy low maintenance and wear slip-on shoes so I try to be understanding.

I feel a bit the same about Saphyrri (sp.????) who was on I think season 2 of Flav and I believe also won the first season of Charm School. More often than not when I hear someone pussy-footing around getting to the point, I think of her wonderful deadpan expression on Charm School when she goes "WHERE DAT MONEY AT".

Yes, I think that is exactly it. I mentioned in another response that their age proximity to my own is a big part of why I feel this way.

I grew up thinking it was a totally normal movie for all kids to have seen alongside like Snow White, Pinocchio, etc. but that is apparently not the case. I have a tattoo based on art from the movie and love it when people recognize it!

I support their cause too, and agree with what you said here.

Yes! Thank you very much! It's also about them being roughly my age and being very mature parents. SORRY, it's weird to me! :)

I know, probably because I'm just bored with nothing better to do right now than make dumb observations in the comments. Really dumb ones like this go over better on Gawker.

My point was just observing the thing I said in my post. I had no idea how defensive people would get about me saying they look like very serious teenagers!

I know, I get it, it's an aspect of being a celebrity that sucks and should change.

Yeah, and that's why I am trying not too be too judgmental about it. We all grow up, and not all of us have to deal with doing it on national TV!

I love both Shepard and Bell so don't get me wrong but there's something so... I don't know... "We are now Important Adults with Pressing Concerns and we must be Taken Extremely Seriously" about them, especially their unsmiling faces in the video's still shot.

Based on a wonderful book by Richard Adams. I saw this movie as a really young kid and it left a major impression on me. Adams is all about the anthropomorphization but it works for him.

Aw geez! Such a rough book. Stays in your mind forever!

I seriously well up a bit when I think about the part where Hazel is maybe dying and they play that "Bright Eyes" song by Art Garfunkel. ALL THE FEELS!

Holy crap - I read this book and was pretty traumatized by it. I had no idea it also had a realistic animated feature version! That was one tough book to get through, though very interesting at times.

These kids got nothin' on my good friend Watership Down for gut-wrenching realism to go with the anguish.

Please tell me this is a fake Padma Lakshmi, I want so badly to love her :(
