DC has actually gotten pretty into baseball. San Diego will too, if the team starts winning.

I don't know, a lot of teams are out there tanking as hard as they can - may be hard to catch up.
But they're in effect giving up on the season about a quarter of the way through, when it's not hard at all to see the team getting a low-seed playoff berth. Even if you want to hire your own guy it's bizarre behavior and bound to turn away some fans.
Hell, even if he is trying to appeal to Cowboys fans getting pictured with Jerry Jones is a poor way to go about that. Even they don't like him.
I mean, theoretically. But if he had minor injuries and needed time to rest them, they might've been aggravated by playing when he didn't feel he should and decreased his production. In a 162 game season, almost every player needs the occasional day off.
For first-year arb, he's probably not getting more than $5 million. They could've kept him for at least 2 years without paying too much.
The Blue Jays won't have to sign him to an extension - they have 4 years of arbitration-eligible control left before free agency. They'll have to pay him more than the league minimum of $500k, of course, but first year arb is unlikely to be more than $5 million or so - a steal for someone as productive as Donaldson.
This is a really bad attempt at trolling.
You are incorrect! The CBA doesn't have anything to do with ticket costs - those are determined by the demand and overall supply. The players' salaries could all go down to the minimum tomorrow and ticket prices wouldn't go down a dime if the same number of people wanted to go to games.
You say you're very concerned with violence and harassment and maybe you are. But your larger concern, judging by what you consider most worthy of comment, is people making you feel kinda bad as a video game fan. That's why it's difficult to take your deep concern seriously.
Pretty sure it was the death and rape threats that made it toxic. Blaming the media for reporting that those happened is weak sauce.
...you're literally reading an article about GamerGate that summarizes the situation pretty well, and you're going to comment saying you don't know much about it but probably both sides are wrong? Come on, man.
It's literally an insulting term for women's genitals being used as an insult, man. Yes, it's an anti-woman insult.
Feminists do not believe in the imaginary concept of 'misandry,' and don't accuse women of setting themselves up for horrendous harassment. This is clear, obvious trolling and people have been too kind and willing to give the benefit of the doubt to indulge it as long as they have.
It's the most viscerally unpleasant environment I've ever been in, even just slowly walking on a tarmac.
Yep! If anything, it's more open and blatant than college football could ever hope to be.
It's humid as *shit* there. I've been there at 1 in the morning before and it's still hot and humid enough at one in the morning that you feel oppressively hot just walking around.
You should feel bad about this comment.
Playing the victim = making jokes on Twitter to you? I think you may not understand term.
No one's saying 'all gamers' are behind this, you solipist - there's that completely needless defensiveness again. Why on earth are you assuming that's what I'm saying? I'm saying if your attitude about death threats - whether you personally think they're 'serious' or not - is "welp that's the price of being in the…
