Curiosity. It enters through the eye and kills cats.
Thank you for the replies. I found Page Plus Cellular, a prepaid service that uses the Verizon network. For $30/year I can get 300 minutes, way more than I ever need. They also have customer service based inside the US, no hard accents to deal with (take note, TracFone!)
Anyone else pumped for the Fringe season finale? I know, this isn't io9, but I presume with all the Sprint ads on lifehacker there must be some Fringe fans. I can't wait to see how the apocalypse plays out!
Hey all,
You can get lots of good gins for very little money; many good inexpensive brands. Try a gin and tonic or two. Works for me!
I recommend Clarke's Space Odyssey quartet and the entire Rama series, also the Time Odyssey series. "The Collected Works of Arthur C. Clarke" published in 2000 offers a number of his short, rich stories.
Has anyone had success with #3 (the arcade option)? Can you recommend sites or emulators?
I am a big fan of the original Dune series, and the prequels, sequels, and "in-betweeners" by Herbert's son and Kevin J. Anderson. The scope of the entire 16 (so far) books is massive, with so many different interweaving story lines, rich characters and species. My favorite space opera by far. Really worth the…
Thanks for the tips; I'll check these out.
Hey all, have you watched the clip on Google paying tribute to Charlie Chaplin on his 122nd birthday? It's really well done. Take a look!
Pod to PC is supposed to be good. I haven't tried it yet since I haven't had any hardware meltdowns that destroyed my music. Check out the website.
Have you tried Sophos? Not sure if its free or not, but I have had great success with it. I used to use McAfee and found them to be pretty reliable as well.
I'm a gin man myself. Hoping for a Bombay g & t. Or more than one. Enjoy your bloody marys!
Check out this old lifehacker article. It might help.
@EstimatedProphet Have you tried Hendrick's gin? That's worth a shot. Expensive and produced in small amounts, but nice to try every now and then. They add some cucumber into the mix; not as nasty as it sounds.
This article confirms my own experience with red wines. I buy the cheapo Rex Goliath Merlot and it tastes fantastic; I really see no need for the expensive price, especially for this kind of wine.
Oh, man, that reference takes me back. Nice one!
I would add to number 24: don't project. Don't assume the worst of a situation or a person; don't project negativity into a situation or a person. I've often found that I can improve my attitude by avoiding the temptation to assume the worst, and instead accept things at face value.
What a crazy variation in weather! I was in Denver for a few days and found it to be one of the few cities that I could live in. Now I'm not so sure!
