@kwakkwak: I fly to visit family members and often bring along a console to let them borrow. It's less likely now that we have three 360s and two Wiis between us, but we're still limited to one PS3.

@Alex_Mexico: Have you played the PS1/GBA/PSP version of FF2? It's much, much superior to the NES version. And a heck of a lot better — as a game — than FF6.

@urfe: The updated versions of FF I & II fix that "bug".

@dsgamerrr: Why did you buy an extra Nunchuk before you bought Wii Play (with its extra Wiimote)? The Wii comes with one Wiimote and one Nunchuk in the box.

@Miksho: Somebody should e-mail that PA strip to Chris O'Brien. *hint hint*

Mass Effect: The Adventures of Wrex.

@Roobs: You've got to be on high alert for those hidden costs or they'll sneak up and get you. I mean, look at me — I'm not going to pay for more clothes after I've already bought this one outfit. As for washing them? Hah! I'm not going to fall for that hidden cost. It could be dollars a week! Likewise for washing

@WizarDru: I'm not saying that these weren't good or even great games.

@nekomancer001: Precisely. It's not about the Wii not being the cheapest, it's about the writer not realizing that the one-time investment of buying a system is not the end of it.

There just isn't a clear-cut GotY winner (IMO — and I still haven't got around to playing Uncharted 2).

@UberScytheLord: AC 2 really surprised me in that I have never cared for sandbox/open-world games. I liked driving around in Driver and riding a bike in San Andreas, but 15-30 minutes in, I put away those games and never touched them again. Chinatown Wars and GTA4 did not fare any better.

@Boo S: Whether or not AC 2 is game of the year, Leonardo da Vinci is character of the year. Only Sandal can compete.

@DunnCarnage: Ezio's ending is a little out there, but the whole game hints at something along those lines, as did AC 1. It's nowhere near as out of the blue as Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy's "twist". But there are plenty of otherwise-fans who are butthurt over Battlestar Galactica's ending ("OMG! Religion!"), and I'd

@Daniel Hinkles: So, Resident Evil 5 for GotY? I could get behind that. ;)

@UberScytheLord: It's a pity we didn't get FM5 here in the US. I really enjoyed FM4 (even though everyone else says its a step down from FM3).

@Vidikron: Have you played Ninja Gaiden DS? That's the best example of touch-screen controls done well that I've come across (and it's a great game in its own right).

@weisond: Yes, that's a biggie, too.
