@Tem Dejima: That's some wonky math. The NES launch bundle (system, two controllers, Super Mario Bros.) was $199 in 1985. The shortly-after-launch-bundle (with the Zapper, R.O.B., and two lame games instead of SMB) was $249.

@H-Falcon: That way you only have to render a maximum of three cars instead of four. ;)

@Lainface: They were optional in that the controls for said portions could be set to motion-based or analog-stick-based in the options. :)

@I Am Error: For what it's worth, you could disable motion controls in the options menu.

@jayislost: Newegg has an MSI-branded Radeon 4830 for ~$60 (AR). That's a great price for a solid mid-range card. Check [Slickdeals.net] regularly for video card deals.

@Scottaholic: "I can do anything I want with their IP. I just can't simply copy it or charge for it."

@CapitalJigga: Huh. I don't even remember a jet ski level in Uncharted 1. But I haven't played it again since I beat it many moons ago.

@Sarcasmancer: If a person can clear X number of dungeons in Y order without complaining or lashing out at the world he's thanklessly trying to save... that makes for a very specific personality type. It is specific enough that it already restricts my ability to interpret said character.

@AssCancer: How is Nitro for the Wii "a toned down version"? It's not a port or even a derivative, but rather a brand-new game in the NFS series (and one that takes the series in a fresh direction) exclusive to the Wii (and DS).

@kearneybobs: I'm much more concerned with the four car (3 AI + the player) limit than the lack of damage.

WTF Capcom? You waste resources butchering RE4 for an iPhone port when Puzzle Fighter would be much more appealing to the iPhone userbase, not to mention trivial to port?

Fighting Fantasy really was the peak of young-adult interactive novels, especially with the mid-to-late sequel books Legend of Zagor and Revenge of the Vampire. Unfortunately the video game version of Deathtrap Dungeon was terrible. But I'd be blown away by any video game that approached the quality of a good FF book.

I liked Phantom Hourglass, but I was kind of hoping that Nintendo would have learned from games like Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and its own Brain Age games that stylus-only games ought to be set in "book" form, with the DS rotated 90 degrees. Oh well.

@kryo: But Diablo is "hard core".

@spikespeigel: A man-month is the amount of work a single person does in a month. If you have four people working for two months, they've done eight man-months of work.

Targeting cursor? WTF? Is this some dual-analog abomination?
