@MushyHeirloom: I was thinking more along the lines of folksy, rural, teabagger type douchbaggery.

@mkbruin: Are you really that stupid, or just trying to stir shit up? Not only is all of that stuff a terrible idea, but the weight penalty to even get all that crap out of the Earth's gravity well would be enormous compared to the rover they're building.

@Madcows: I kind of doubt it. They don't have any sort of expertise at all in making something like a Mars rover. Their rocket that barely left the atmosphere was good, but they were only able to do that by leveraging a lot of research that NASA already did, and using their extensive aerospace experience. I

@CABEZAGRANDE: A Jeep chassis. For a mission to Mars. Riiiiiight.

@TheTonyShow: Many of the components they assemble are sealed, and you don't want any contamination in those. Also, avoiding any excess contamination, especially before the mission starts, is a good idea.

@LuciferV8: For sure. Folksy, rural douchbaggery is so much better.

@SlayBeau: I'm not comfortable in the space allotted in economy, but I fit in it and make do. But when some huge dude sitting next to me is in the space that I paid for, it doesn't help things at all. All I'm saying is that, if you can't fit in the space you paid for, then you need to pay for more space or not fly.

@leavethegun-takethecannoli: What "numbers" are inaccurate? You use the term "numbers" like people use the term "'they' said". If you want to win this, specify the "numbers", cite your sources, and explain how they impact the debate at hand. As it is, your conclusion (American health care is better) does not

@mass romantic: You could reconfigure a few rows to accomodate "customers of size", and take out a seat to give everyone in the row some extra width. But, those seats are going to have to cost more. Otherwise, you're forcing everyone on the plane to help bear the cost of people who can't fit into the standard seats.

@SlayBelle: Seats have gotten smaller because otherwise the airline business model is untenable. It's the same reason that the pilots and mechanics unions have taken voluntary pay cuts so they can keep their jobs. I wish seats hadn't gotten smaller too, but they have, and if I have to fly on a plane NOW, what am I

@carey965: Does it hurt to be that stupid? The problems weren't due to the electrical drivetrain.

I'm 5'10", 195lbs and I can fit in my seat in an airplane. It's not comfortable and I don't like it, but I can do it without infringing on the space of the person next to me. If you can't fit into your seat, then either buy 2 seats, fly first class, or don't fly.

@Pinkerton Proletariat: So I wonder if the new Zamboni that got sent up is electric or not. If it's electric, what will the mouth-breathers on this site complain about now?

Take one perfectly good Mercedes SLS AMG and throw a rice bucket full of vents, slats, and carbon fiber at it...and you get an exceptionally fast special edition Mustang?

@jbh11126: Please tell me that's all custom and someone didn't chop up an actual 300SL

Damn, that's an impressive museum. I think only Porsche, Ferrari, and maybe M-B can compete with them in terms of international motorsports heritage.

@cobrajoe: Those Howie Long commercials are shit. And if GM built a lawn mower, it'd probably fall apart after a couple trips around the yard too.

@Optixtruf: So where does the Impala fit in? Rotten tomato?
