@pauljones: Do you honestly think we're ever going to be in a fight with any of those air forces?
@pauljones: Do you honestly think we're ever going to be in a fight with any of those air forces?
@maximum-sienna: I would expect nothing less from our esteemed Department of Defense. The king of over-budget, under-performing systems.
@NiceNurseRatched: Yeah, god forbid you try to keep a bloated defense budget under control.
@6061-Tsix: When's the last time that our armed forces have actually had to work to establish air superiority somewhere? I'm thinking Vietnam, because it sure as hell wasn't Afghanistan or Iraq 1 or 2. The cold war is over, and we don't fight those kinds of wars anymore. This is neat technology, but I'd question…
@GTI_MK5: The whole point of this technology is to avoid dogfights. You target the other guy from way the hell out, launch a missile, and then just bug out while the missile does the dirty work.
@tomlewis: I don't understand why most people doing major engine swaps like this don't invest in a dry-sump setup. Sure, it's expensive, but so's the engine swap you're doing. Might as well do it right.
@Graverobber: It's one of those things that seems like a really good idea at first, but the reality of it doesn't work nearly as well as you hoped.
@YankBoffin: Yeah, a drag car is likely going to need more RPM's than that engine is capable of putting out to actually be competitive. Props for originality and a truly impressive engine, but a different idea for the build other than "drag car" would've been better.
@jodark:
@vamusical: That's very forward-thinking of you. Unfortunately, I am much more shortsighted. I get my Boston schadenfreude in at the earliest opportunities.
@vamusical: As far as the Eastern Conference is concerned, I'm just happy that the Bruins got knocked out.
@The Boy Wonder: No, when in doubt, order a pizza.
@Tiberiuswise: Yeah, but then you'll just get an overly expensive sporty and fun coupe. Better off just buying a BMW and paying for gas.
@cgarison: Good thing no one asked.
Sure, some of the stuff is stupid, but at least the IS is a decent car to begin with. This is all better than a damn F150 Harley Davidson edition.
@Flathead Smith: And then we'd get to laugh at you for having a billet caliper made that doesn't work nearly as well as the original item.
Get back here, you import punk!
@lilwillie's E21 leaks no more.: Lighten up, Francis.
