It’s a blink or you’ll miss it thing.

I hope you are right, but time will tell.

I think the Dutch royals have sense of humour. But, there is a law against insulting the king. It’s very rarely used, but it does exist.

It’s not like Philippe is super popular, especially not in Flanders! But that is probably exactly why there is such a strong response from the royal family themselves. With little support of the Flemish majority, and a country that is at real risk of falling apart, they are not in a strong position.

So you are one of the ones that think that women should just smile more and be judged by how visually pleasing their dresses are. And number 7, she’s not a first lady- she’s a proper queen. She does not have to smile for you bitch. Though I have actually met her (I’m a Belgian citizen), and she’s very smart and

*But we’ve done it this way since Mozart wrote the whole thing in 1791! Why are those Americans telling us to change this now? *grumble* Cultural imperialism!*

Those carabinieri. Do they hire them for their good looks or what?

Brussels North is pretty creepy isn’t it...With the prostitution and everything. And Midi isn’t much better. Not that I’ve ever experienced any trouble there, but I don’t hang around there longer than strictly necessary.

Yeah, it’s interesting. When this started I couldn’t believe it. Putting soldiers in the streets seemed like a border crossed. But the strange thing is- You realize they are just human being doing their jobs, and in the end I watch for the police more, because they can fine me for jaywalking and these boys in green

I live in Belgium...When I see another mass shooting in the US I’m grateful I live here, where ill intended people have a hard time getting their hands on guns. I live in a city where I can walk the streets without any risk of dying by a random stray bullet. If I lived in the US, I would look over my shoulder more

I’ve had an earlier model for 6 years now, and it sure works for me.

Yes. You should have. Cunt.

Brussels.

What I look for is clothes that flatter me, and that I can ride a bicycle in. That’s another thing I noticed the times I tried to shop at Forever 21. When I found something that appealed to me, it always turned out to have strange holes in unexpected places, impossibly short skirts, haphazard splits....Look I am a

I think Maisons du Monde is all just so...Fake. Go to a flea market and find yourself deco items with real personality!

It depends on the country. The Dutch are big online shoppers, and this has caused whole chains to fall over in the last decade, leaving shopping streets strangely empty. But if we go to Belgium, people still mostly shop in stores and none of this appears to have happened. It is very strange.

I think what also plays a role in this- when I was a kid America was a cool brand. It represented freedom, the future, an escape from stiff old values.

I agree with that, mostly. “Expensive” at H&M is still pretty affordable. If it caries a LOGG label it is a very safe buy. But I usually get pretty lucky with my impulse buys there.

We had Forever 21 here in Antwerp, Belgium. They first opened a store in Brussels- it suffered a fire and never re-opened. This Antwerp store was huge. 5000 shiny square meters at a top location. The first day it opened the town was filled with people carrying yellow shopping bags. But after that...I went looking for
