Uhhhhhh, that team is FAR from underfunded. Both parties involved in that deal are very wealthy, and the team is essentially a quasi-Roush car (heck their shop is in one of the old Roush shops in Mooresville)

In high school I had a beat to snot Mk.3 VW Jetta that was “Maine straight-piped” (years of harsh winters and pot holes had ripped the poor cat converter out). Of course, I loved having a loud, shouty car in high school. The State Troopers, however, did not. I was driving through the next town over when I saw an

Props my man. Lesser men (or more sane) would have listened to the haters and given up. Awesome seen the little flatty finally make it!

All I can see is the giant differential in the back. I’m intrigued.

Think “Evolution, not revolution” here. They key nuggets for any Jeep guy is underneath the sheetmetal.

Dark Blue Jeep Comanche

Will yall be at Texas in a month? Would love to run the Jalopnik bump on a Zombie Dodge!

When I was in high school my little brother had an old Willys M38A1. Didn’t much drive it as much as far around the yard and fix rusty stuff on it.

Actually a Cherokee ;)

Amen brother. Old beaters are a heluva lot more fun. Bought a primered ‘93 S-10 4 years ago off of a coworker for cheap and the thing worked it’s but off. Moved my brother from Maine to Ohio, moved myself from Ohio to North Carolina, hauled race motors for 2 years, carried half a Firebird inthe bed, caught fire, etc.

Your favorite Zombie Dodge team was fielding the 66 this week. Really disappointed we got taken out by 2 rookies (33 turning us in the trioval, and 6 flat driving full speed in our door). Oh well, on to next week.

I had a Geo Tracker in high school that I had multiple misadventures with. Growing up in rural Maine I had a 15 mile drive through some twisting roads through a forest. Well, there was a shortcut that was partially unpaved. On day after leaving school my brother and I decided to play “can I wheel that” in the ditch

Mike Skinner may be originally from Southern California, but he’s lived in North Carolina most his life.

Which is what everyone wants. Unfortunately NASCAR is a point of cost savings and companion races are much more cost effective for them. Sad state of affairs which means we’re going going to be locked into these schedules for years to come.

Fun little track. About 30 minutes from me so I often go there on off weekends for a little fun.

Also keep in mind the schedule didn’t mirror the Cup schedule minus 5 freaking races. It had a nice balance of standalones. That is far gone now.

My money is on stray zip-tie

No problemo, to clarify not all of the cars are former Penske cars. We do use leased engines from Penske, but we have a lot more cars than Penske cars. We currently have 2 in rotation, and 3 more on casters requiring repairs. We have a hodgepodge of different chassis, mostly just sharing the same Dodge body (which

If we wish to we could cut the body off, make some chassis updates, and plop a Xfinity body on it. We have a couple former Cup COTs, one of them being Alon’s car from the road races (a former Penske Cup car, in fact the main header photo is a shot of the same car in one of it’s 2015 races). As of right now Carl’s
