Also, quick clarification, we only ran 1 Dodge at Mid-Ohio. We ran Tim Cowen ran a Ford with the 13. The 74 in the field was Mike Harmon’s, not ours.

Todd’s been busy, disappointed I missed out on a chance to help out with questions pertaining the Dodges. Been a struggle at the bottom, but I still wave that Mopar flag high

Found this out on one of our NASCAR Xfinity cars. Small detail that got missed at the shop, and fitting was capped off with an aluminum cap. Fluid was very black and smelly after that race....

Cap off of the surge tank (system to allow engine to relieve high water pressure due to heat) blew off. Was quite impressive on pit road (I’m the chap in the green firesuit in the last pit stall before Bubba’s).

Shaggy Dave is the shiznit

I can confirm from a little shop in North Carolina, no factory support to be found. Nothing but blood, sweat, and tears driving us.

‘92 Jeep Comanche for $2000. 4.0, 5 speed, and 4wd. Was a pretty clean truck, found it on Craigslist a week before I moved to NC. Talked to the guy some, and by the time I moved, he had just sold it.

Fun fact: One of the injured crew members in that video, Bobby Burrell, is now a crew chief in the Xfinity series (for Obaika Racing)

I miss mine, and I want another :(

My d*** Merkur. At the time I had a little cash in the bank, and my second year of driving a ‘93 Chevy S-10. Truck was still fine, but I decided I needed something a little more “daily driver worthy” as I had about a 45-60 minute drive to work at the time (lack of fuel mileage and ac was getting to me). In my search

Was expecting it to djent, was disappointed

This type of crash will happen at much lower speeds as well. When a car gets turned that quick, there’s such a weight shift that the roof flaps have no time to respond.

Sounds like an awesome gig, wouldn’t mind applying whenever I decide to get out of racing. Oh well, onward to Talladega!

My boss has a t-shirt from Aero Performance (one of the wheel manufacturers) that has a picture of lugs nuts, and underneath it says “It takes 20 to start, and 12 to win.” Had a good laugh when I first saw it.

Wish I could have caught this Friday, could have put some stickers on one of the last Dodges in all of NASCAR!

If I had known you were in the pits/ garage for the Xfinity race, I could have gotten you in the 13's pit! Would have made for some great photos for the site!

A little. The cars suspensions are designed “fall” to the ground at speed and corners. If you can keep the car planted on the ground (just scraping the splitter is ideal), the car is at it’s ideal downforce and grip levels. A good team has the car glued to the ground all the way around the track, not just the corners.

The studs are a couple inches long. NASCAR requires that you have at least one thread showing (lug comes off and on easier the less threads you have). The adhesive becomes quite solid if left to dry over a couple hours (or days), but the torque of the impact is more than enough to turn them. Also, when pressed for

I paid way less for mine and that was too much. And no, the Merkur does not fit NASCAR’S templates

He made one start last season, so all the news outlets are labeling him a Cup driver (even though he declared for NXS points again).
