3D in gaming is merely an offshoot of 3D movies in the sense that 3D has always been a gimmick. The flurry of recent 3D films (mostly animated fare) is still gimmicky, and even though a movie may have some good 3D parts, nobody wants to keep putting on glasses to watch a favorite film for the fifth or eighth time.

@zåɳzißarlegeпȡ: David Wong over at Cracked.com says this animated gif sums up the death of the VG industry. That may be a tad harsh, but looking at both of these should make any sane gamer realize that standing in your living room and flailing about like an epileptic under a strobe light is going to be a tough sell

I feel like I just finished listening to my 16-year-old niece describe her new boyfriend. "Oh, he's wonderful! So perfect! I wasn't sure about him at first, but now I see he's the greatest person on the planet! I'm a terrible bowler, but he doesn't mind!"

Google is awfully late to the social media dance, at least in this instance. I fall into the "I don't see how I will use this" group. I don't tweet and FB is becoming less interesting by the day as I am getting an almost spam-like deluge of Farmville and Mafia Wars requests.

@TrombaMarina: Opera has a really slick interface and I'm all too ready to give it a chance, but it's far too easy to encounter places where it flat out fails. There's a lot of Opera love in these comments, but I think these people are not being honest about Opera's shortcomings.

I want to like Opera so much and I love concepts like Unite, but I can break it faster than any browser out there. Under 10.X I've had trouble on cnbc.com. With 9.x it was certain forms sites like [hilton.com] (which I could not log into using Opera).

kickyoutube.com is far better. More formats and a better interface.
